There is an old saying, in fact you may have heard it before. It's a simple saying, with a simple meaning. One uses this saying when one wishes to let go of their inhibitions and be something they normally are not.
This saying and philosophy is built on and from an older saying, with roughly the same meaning and purpose.
Roughly because when looking at the two phrases there is nothing surface level to connect them except the reference of cities. And as someone who is well traveled, I have even visited both cities and they are nothing alike.
"When in Rome do as the Romans do."
"What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas."
Yet these simple phrases one uses to hide uncharacteristic behaviors. Lies advice most profound.

"Sir, your eight o'clock appointment Raven Darkholme is here."
"Ah very good is it Ms. or Mrs. Darkholme." I asked as I stood up and gesture to the chair in front of my desk.
"You can address me as Garrick, also please have a seat."
Waiting to sit down till after she has seated.
"It is Ms. thank you for asking."
"Very good. So, Ms. Darkholme I am curious as to why you would choose to work for me. From your resume provided you currently are employed."
Asking as I take in her current persona. Late twenties, early thirties, golden tan. Hair is simple brown but with hints of red portraying a leftover dye job.
"You must be joking Sir. Who would not jump at the opportunity to work for you."
"Honestly the smart one's Ms. Darkholme."
"I am in the entertainment business. Yet I have had not one inquiry on what that means."
"What services I can offer. What compensation I am able or will be able to accept."
"Granted I am aware our website does hint at some of what you can expect."
"Garrick if I may, I believe the reason is no one knows what question to ask or even begin."
"In the circles I. Shall we say navigate you are a total perplexity and frankly unknown. My government has lots of first contact scenarios."
"Yet your entrance and announcement completely threw them off. So, they have decided to simple wait for gala and to see what your next move is."

"Intriguing and not an unwise move. But I would like some clarification if possible."
"Which government would you be referring to? Would it be Raven Darkholme's or Mystique's government."
"The USA is the one in question. As for the mutants, they are not going to bother you especially with what you did yesterday in the desert."
"That's a smart move. Who currently is the tentative head of the mutants. Know what, never mind I doubt there is one. The only two currently capable should be Shaw or Emma."

"Then is your reason for working as my PA still valid or would you like to change or add more to it."
"I still answer the same. Who wouldn't want to work for you."
"You have the potential to bring great change to this world. The one who can be a part of that will rise to great heights. Who knows maybe even part of an era where she wouldn't be shunned."
"Ms. Darkholme, let me be frank, I am not here to instigate social change. Especially mutant acceptance. You are a beautiful woman no matter what form you take and especially you don't take."
"Sir, I doubt you can understand the stigma and ridicule that my kind has to suffer."
"Don't be so sure on that. I know quite a bit about what you and your kind have had to face. More so I even know the why's and some of the how's
"Let me propose a question, take it as a test. A test of not only your character, but your true beliefs."
"If I were to present to you the actual solution to allow your kind to be accepted. With a means to implement that solution as well. Would you take it and walk out that door never to look back."
"That was the first option to the test. The second option is. I can take you in give you an exalted position, maybe my PA, maybe something else say cultural liaison."
"Your immediate and take immediate to be limited close family. Your family can live here protected and safe from the rest of society. But nothing will be done for mutant kind. They will eventually be wiped out unless something unexpected happens."

'And she has lost her composure her appearance keeps rotating between her various forms.'

'And my guess is correct. Even if she had been manipulated by various men in power. Well in the beginning manipulated by men. She eventually went on her own path. I believe she is one of the true believers in mutant acceptance.'
"I do, it's simple on paper. Yet would take understanding, compassion, and the cliché forgiveness. From mutants and non-mutants."

"Are you wanting revenge or resolution and acceptance?"
"I know revenge is impossible, so yes resolution and acceptance?"
"I didn't kill Charles as you put it. I killed a dangerous psionic entity that would have destroyed your planet. The vessel just happened to be Charles."
"Though honestly you need to see Emma she can share what she is learning from the others. Also let her check you out."
Grabbing a usb drive with the formula containing a retrovirus that would make normal humans immune to the Sublime bacteria. Also, a breakdown on how sublimed worked. Also provided an outline of how they should start working together with humans.
"It was wonderful meeting you Raven."
Handing her the usb drive.
"I didn't make my choice?"
"Mystique, you made your choice don't deny it. Now go save your kind. But more importantly go comfort your son and daughter they have been through a lot and need their loving mother."
"Also, I did extend an invitation to your daughter. That invitation still stands and will continue to stand. When she is ready as a mother, I trust you will support her."
"Now our time is up I do have other interviews. I look forward to seeing your success."
Walking Mystique out of my office.
"One last thing Ms. Darkholme, distance yourself from any of Charles's romantic partners, post or current."
'I need to find a way to snip that one particular irritation before she becomes a problem for me.'
"Lilith next please and just keep them rotating."
Most of the day was uneventful. Seems after the little business meeting and its outcome. Some of my potential fish left my bait and hook alone.
Yelena showed up. Blonde bombshell that she is. If you like blonds, lucky for me blonds are my thing. Had a nice little chat and exchanged some work tips. Kept her number told her I would call if I needed her expertise.
Spunky little girl, if she keeps her head straight, she will go far.
Now is the last interview of the day.
"Hello please take a seat."
I swear how does she move like that. Even sitting down on an office chair, she moves like a cat, a seductive belly dancer, and ruthless killer all at once.
