I panted as I ran the treadmill, my legs pumping rhythmically as I ran a steady pace. Jiro had hooked several wires to monitor my running speed. She said this would help me get more objective data on my training. I wanted to get stronger. The number of threats to the kingdom were rising.
Although, I wasn't sure how to feel about all of them. The rebels... it was hard to blame them for wanting to get rid of the nobility. Especially given what Orson's dad did to my family. His actions separated us from dad for years and led to the death of a family friend. All because he didn't wish to pay for a sword he had my dad make. Nobles like that deserved to be thrown to the dogs.
As I focused on my breathing, I tried to push those thoughts aside, concentrating instead on the rhythm of my feet hitting the treadmill.
