Once done, I turned on the cold water and let out a sigh of relief. It felt good, the chill refreshing against my skin after the workout. My muscles were thanking me for the reprieve, and I took a moment to enjoy the sensation before stepping out of the shower.
I quickly dried off and wrapped the towel around my waist. Walking into my bedroom, I picked out a plain black t-shirt and some bootcut jeans.
Dressing quickly, my mind shifted to dinner and what I could whip up that would satisfy everyone.
As I made my way back to the living room, I heard Nina's coos and Matías's giggles. I peeked over the corner and saw my little champ was still entertaining his sister with his cactus. He was making it dance back and forth, his tongue out and his mind thought of what Señor Nopal's next move should be.
