I stared at my hand and sighed. Got a little carried away there. Touching him like that, when he's clearly tired... It was a bit selfish.
I let out a shaky breath and leaned against the door, trying to calm my racing heart. It was always the same with Gael. A single touch, a sound, and my whole body would react. He looked so tired, yet so handsome, and I couldn't help but want to be with him. I also wanted another baby. It was a selfish desire, especially when we had our hands full with the two we had, but I enjoyed spending time with my family. And bringing another life into the world was a blessing.
I felt a warmth spread through my chest as I thought about our life together. The good, the bad, and the crazy. It was a chaotic, beautiful mess, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. We'd been through so much, and we'd only grow stronger with time.
