I blushed and chuckled. "Same here. The Abyss, Setsugen... it all melts away when I'm with you."
She sighed. "I'm glad. But we do have a lot of stuff to figure out before The Abyss creeps in. Did you find anything out from that pottery shard?" she asked, her fingers tracing idle patterns on my chest.
"Maybe," I said, my mind drifting back to the azurite piece. "The style is similar to ancient Taahid pieces, but with unique elements, signaling a distinct cultural identity. That, combined with the oral histories Grandpa shared about ancestors who fought against the shadows, strongly suggests that my Mama indeed descends from the Taeyang." I paused, choosing my words carefully.
