"Madame, there is a guest here to see you," a maid said as Raiki and I ate breakfast.
I hummed. "See me? Is it Queen Amelia?"
She shook her head. "It's a man. He claims to be the Grand Duke of Makkuroyama."
I hummed. "Kazuo? What is he doing here? Let him. I'm curious about what it is he wants to discuss with me."
She bowed. "Right away, Madame." With that, she strode away, leave only Raiku and me in the large dining hall.
Raiki hummed. "Why did he come here in person?"
"That's what I would like to know. Especially someone like him. That men has tended to remain in his castle back in Momotaro, yet he went to see the match between Vadim and Eizan." Not to mention him coming with us to the Cathedral of Origin. He had said that he wanted to change. Seemed he meant it.
I took another bite of my omelet, the earthy taste of wild mushrooms filling my mouth.
