[Taeyang 'Ruins'– library]

"How are things going?" Hyun-ah said as she joined us in the library.

"So far, this was a fruitful journey," Rashid said, smiling. He was clutching his notebook, his eyes shining like those of Raiki. "I have so much to record. The Taeyang, the Abyss, the Pillars... it's a historian's dream."

"I'm glad you're enjoying your stay," Hyun-ah said, a warm smile on her face. "Seems your companion's training is coming along."

I hummed. "Vadim is a stubborn man. He will learn."

Hyun-ah sighed. "My brother is a harsh teacher. But he means well. He just... has a hard time showing it."

Raiki tugged on my sleeve. "Mommy, shouldn't we tell Sir Kazuo and Sir Eizan what we've learned?"

I frowned. He was right. The other Grand Dukes needed to know about the threat.

"I'll see about delivering a message to Kazuo," I said. "He can inform Eizan and the others."

"A message?" Hyun-ah asked, raising an eyebrow.
