Amelia PoV
I sighed as we all returned to our ferry. Noel looked it over for any damage from the Abysmal's attack.
"It has a few holes, but your barrier is helping keep it at float," he said, tapping on the deck.
I turned and narrowed my eyes as several man in white and black uniforms flew over to us. We had more trouble. And these were not bandits.
They pointed their swords at us. "You are under arrest!" their leader said.
Amaya stepped forward, her fan in hand. "On what grounds?"
"For suspicion of plotting against the kingdom, Kuroriku scum!" he sneered.
I sighed. "Great. Just what we needed."
Noel stood by my side, a grim look on his face. "We should have just flown to the capital."
"Too late now," I said, a sigh escaping me. I looked at the guard, a man with a beard and a scar across his left eye. He was a captain, judging by the insignia on his chest. He looked at me with disdain, as if I were something he had scraped off his shoe.
