I rushed to the back of the wagon and prepared to take flight and battle should it be necessary.
The unicorns sped up, but the riders were just as fast.
"They're speeding up too. They're definitely bandits or part of Taahid's army," I said. "We should get ready to fight."
Raiki glanced at his mom. "Mama, why not hide us like you did with the bandits near the Taeyang ruins yesterday?"
She smiled and took her golden fan out of her hair. "Guess it can't be helped. I hoped to save my energy, but oh well."
The outside of the wagon suddenly became invisible. I quickly got back inside.
Raiki beamed. "See? Now they won't see us!"
We all watched as the riders shot bolts of electricity into the air toward us. The blasts sent sand flying, but they missed us, thanks to Amaya's barrier.
