Flat-Brim Samurai Chapter 116 - Apollo's Return
Business went on as usual in the interplanetary military hovercraft. Glinda was manning the front desk and counted down the time. Who was she waiting for? Apollo had come to her months ago asking for an extended break. Due to the severity of the operation he had just went through, she saw fit to demand it from the higher ups. This was the day he was going to come back. But the longer she waited, the longer the older woman grew bored. Life for her was simple, but simple didn't always mean good just like how complexity was sometimes overrated as well. You needed a balance of both and for her, everything was just too… normal. Just as she was about to take her break she saw somebody out of the corner of her eyes, there was a different aura about him. Glinda waved at Apollo ,"I'm so glad you're back kiddo." (Kiddo?) Apollo thought, realizing that to an old woman, it was most definitely true.
After talking to Glinda for an extended period of time, Apollo returned to his quarters, nobody was there. He looked at his bed, it seemed as if everyone else kept it together for his return (Those guys…). He was almost struck with a major amount of emotions for how clean all of his stuff was, not a speck of dust was on his decor. He smiled, water welling up in his eyes, but never dropping. He sat on the bed as if to reacquaint himself with it. After a little nap he got up, went to the dining hall where he saw a familiar group. Cias was the first to notice the energy ,"HOLY SHIT!!!" He ran at Apollo with his maximum speed and jumped in the air. Opening his arms he sent both of them flying down the hall with the most intense hug that has ever existed.
Cias smiled ear to ear ,"SO GLAD TO HAVE YOU BACK DAWG, I MISSED YOU!" Apollo smiled and laughed ,"Missed you too dawg." They looked around and a lot of people were looking at them ,"What? A bro can't hug his bro, get lost." Apollo and Cias then got up, Cias walked him over to the table that they were seated at. Noah was curious, noticing the energy emanating from him ,"You got stronger." Apollo nodded his head ,"Maybe a little," Seru was sitting right next to Noah, both of them inseparable. Brandon and Reese were on their phones playing a game together, Katie was creating an ice castle with her ki and Andrea was tinkering with her PAS(Plasma Accelerating Railgun).
Seeing all of them again made him happy, he was ready to get back to work… A day later he walked up to the front desk ,"What do you have?" Glinda smiled at him ,"Well boy do i got the mission for you and a plus one, there's been a disturbance in the dimensional fabric in this one region indicated by the blinker that will be sent to you. Do you have anyone in mind for the mission?" Apollo smiled ,"I might know a guy."
Apollo sneaked up on someone from behind and scared the bejesus out of them, it was Cias ,"AAGGGHHH." Apollo laughed like a madman ,"You ready for that mission?" ,"What mission?" ,"The one I signed us up for." Cias glared at Apollo before his face exploded with excitement ,"HELL YEAH MAN." They walked towards the edge of the ship and without even a vehicle, they flew with truly ludicrous amounts of speed, essentially getting there immediately after leaving. They didn't even have to stretch out their senses due to the increase of their power, they instantly pinpointed the location of where it was.
They looked around but saw nothing but then in the distance they saw a fissure in the fabric of space time. They looked deeper, seeing such an intense gravitational field out of nothing was weird, but upon closer inspection, it was a person, drifting in space. The figure was approaching them at pretty quick speeds BWOOOSH. Apollo and Cias dodged out of the way of a massive gravitational energy that looked like a huge sword. Once they looked at the direction again, they saw a man in his 20s, lean and on the average end of height. His eyes eternally looked like he saw a ghost, with heavy bags that seemed as though he looked through the dictionary 5 times over without stopping. He stared at them and said ,"So this is what an alternate dimension looks like."
