Thirty minutes later...
Everyone was sitting on the kitchen table, getting ready to eat, as Leyan came back with the last bowl of rice for herself.
"Who's this little girl?" Wuli curiously asked, noticing the girl sitting next to Nami that she wouldn't recognize.
"Her name is Lily. Xiaoyun and Yueyue rescued her from one of the mansions nearby." Leyan introduced.
"Foreigner name?" Shuli asked next.
"M-My mom is from the United Kingdom," Lily shyly replied.
"I see..."
"Ahem, how did you guys end up in Guangzhou? I thought you guys were working up north in the capital?"
Leyan curiously asked, diverting the attention away from Lily as everyone else turned their attention over to the two of them.
"Well, Shuli and I were on a trip back to visit our parents... As you can see, it didn't go so well."
Wuli fell into silence as if some bad memory popped up in her head, leaving Shuli to be the one continuing with the answer.
"Both of our parent was caught in the middle of the outbreak... We had to go through different survival groups until we ran into one that looked friendly."
"Oh, sorry to hear that." Leyan apologized.
"It's okay," Wuli murmured, her face looking much better as if she had moved past the bad memories.
After eating for a bit in silence, Yueyue couldn't help but ask a question that popped into her mind.
"Miss Wuli, sorry to ask this, but how did you become the leader of the survival group? You said you just joined it, right?"
"Yeah. We just joined it a few weeks ago... The original leader of the group died after he tried to fight back against the casino ring.
We lost several of our people, and during the retreat, many of them were impressed by how hard I was able to fight back, so they elected me as the leader."
As Wuli paused for a second to chew on a piece of vegetable, Leyan quickly chimed in with a fact of her own.
"Wuli used to be a black belt in Taekwondo, if you guys didn't know."
"Wow, that's crazy impressive! Can you teach me Taekwondo? Please." Yueyue pleaded, her face filled with excitement.
"Sure. I got nothing else better to do now," Wuli replied.
As Yueyue and Wuli seemed to get along better and better, Yuqi turned her attention over to Shuli, who had been mostly eating in silence.
"Miss Shuli, I heard you used to be a teacher, right?" Yuqi asked.
"Yeah... I used to teach kindergarten and middle school. And I was about to teach high school students if it wasn't for this outbreak."
"I see... I got the perfect job for you. Do you want to be a principal? We already have several teachers, but they are all new.
The school we are trying to set up needs someone with experience, especially across different grades.
Most of them are going to be children between the ages of six and sixteen. It will be really great if you can accept this job offer."
"What do you mean by trying?" Shuli asked, noticing that the word choice Yuqi used sounded a little too vague.
"Well, the school is still under construction right now, so it isn't set in stone what children it's planning to take in yet."
"Um... Sure, I don't mind it. Sounds like a fun new job experience for me." Shuli accepted after realizing she had no other options.
"That's perfect! Your job will start next week, I believe... Right, Xiaoyun?" Yuqi asked as she looked over to him.
"Yeah... Yeah... Ahem, right."
---
When dinner was finished, Leyan introduced Wuli and Shuli to the bedroom they were going to sleep in for tonight.
It was the master bedroom, which shocked them a little as they didn't expect her to give them the best room in the house.
"Leyan, this is way too much. We can't accept this——"
Before Shuli could finish talking, Wuli suddenly pulled Leyan closer, putting her arms around both of their shoulder.
"We can just sleep together! Just like in the good old days in the dorm!" Wuli suggested, her hands tightly holding her in place.
"If I remember correctly, the school's dorm bed was a bunk bed, no? We never really sleep on the same bed——"
"Come on, this bed is so big, all three of us can definitely fit on it. Shuli and I sleep together every night with no problem."
Wuli paused for a second, then looked over to Leyan with a suspicious glare as if she were a baby who had just stolen some candy.
"Looks like Leyan is still as shy as the day we met her... A mother of four, too scared to sleep with her best friend?"
"Fine. Whatever... You guys should take a shower right now. This room has its own shower over there."
Leyan quickly pushed her hands aside as the Wuli's body odor almost made her throw up the dinner she had just eaten.
"Oh my god, a shower! We haven't taken a shower for so long! Shuli, we're going to take a shower!"
"Woohoo!"
Both Wuli and Shuli excitedly rushed over to the shower, leaving Leyan standing there by herself as she let out a small sigh.
"Maybe this was a mistake..."
---
"Shuli, your body looks so much younger!"
Wuli murmured, staring at Shuli's body in disbelief as she took off her clothes and put them over into the basket.
"Y-You're too." Shuli shyly murmured, her eyes only taking short peeks as she put her clothes aside.
"Xiaoyun really is a miracle worker... Wait a moment, Shuli, h-have you checked below?" Wuli suddenly asked, her face suddenly flushed for a second.
"Hm? What's below are you talking about?" Shuli questioned in confusion.
"You remember the t-thing we accidentally broke a few years ago? T-The one that can't be repaired down below?"
Looking towards where Wuli was staring at in the mirror, Shuli finally realized what she was talking about.
"Y-yeah, w-we broke it when you were trying to teach me Taekwondo... What about it?" Shuli shyly asked.
"Wait, let me check yours. I'm pretty sure he might have changed our bodies a little bit too much."
"W-Wait——"
Before Shuli could stop her, Wuli had already squatted down, her finger pushing her labia aside.
"Whoa..."
"What is it? Just tell me." Shuli nervously asked as Wuli fell into silence, her hand still not moving away from her crotch.
"It's really there... He truly is a miracle worker."
As Wuli stood back up in shock, Shuli's mind couldn't believe what her best friend had really just announced.
"What! That doesn't make any sense. He never touched that place... Wait, let me check yours then."
As Shuli squatted down to check, Wuli tried to push her back. But it was far too late as her finger had already pushed the cover aside.
"It's really there... How the hell did he manage to do this?"
Shuli stood back up as her face looked just as shocked as Wuli's earlier. Unable to believe what had just happened to their body.
"We... Whatever, let's just go take a shower."
Wuli thought for a second before moving on, not questioning it any further, as they didn't really lose anything from having it again.
"Yeah... Let's take a shower."
---
After the two of them finally finished taking a shower, they completely forgot they didn't bring any clothes with them.
Or rather, they didn't have any luggage in the first place. They came practically empty-handed when they entered the settlement.
Wuli quickly peeked her head out, only to see Leyan sitting on the bed, staring at the wall in her pajamas, seemingly a little zoned out.
"Hey Leyan, do you have any spare clothes we can wear?"
"Oh. Yeah, let me get it... Give me a second. You guys' bodies haven't changed sizes, right?"
"Yeah, just whatever you have on should fit us."
Leyan quickly walked over to the drawer before taking out two pairs of pajamas, handing them over before Wuli closed the door.
A few minutes later...
When Wuli and Shuli came out of the bathroom, Leyan was a little shocked. They weren't wearing anything underneath at all.
"Um... Leyan, do you have anything underneath for us? You only gave us clothes." Shuli embarrassingly asked.
"Oh my, I'm so sorry. Let me go get it right now."
After running back to the drawers to hand them two pairs of panties, Leyan froze for a second as she looked at her bra selection.
"Sorry, guys. I don't think I have bras that can fit you two... Here, try to see if this fits your size."
"It's fine, it's not that big of a difference," Shuli murmured, taking off the pajama before putting the undergarment on just like Wuli.
"Leyan, when did you get so big?" Wuli curiously asked, feeling the gap as she forcefully tightened up the clips.
"Well, um... maybe because I-I gave birth to four kids already. Yeah, that's it... A-And I also inherited from my mom."
Leyan nervously replied, her face blushing a little as she felt a little embarrassed to admit it in front of her friends.
"Xiaoyun is really a lucky man to have you... Anyway, let's go to sleep now!"
As Wuli and Shuli jumped straight onto the bed, Leyan was dragged alongside as they both grabbed onto her from both sides.
With the lights turned off, the room fell into darkness, leaving the three of them in pitch darkness as Wuli pulled up the blanket.
"Hey Leyan, why do you have a room separately if you are already married to Songming——I mean Xiaoyun?"
Shuli quickly fixed her wording at the last second, realizing she had accidentally used the wrong name to address her husband.
"I-I just like to have room to myself." Leyan instantly replied.
"I see..."
"Ahem, has he gotten over that you are his mom and wife? Are you really fine playing both characters?" Wuli suddenly asked.
"W-We both don't mind it. W-We love each other."
Leyan softly replied, her face blushing red. Fortunately, neither of them could notice the embarrassment in the darkness.
"That's good to hear... looks like his worry as Songming was just him worrying about the present Xiaoyun."
Wuli laughed as memories of the past began flooding in—the one time where she got to punch Songming in the face.
"How about you two? How's life in the capital?" Leyan asked, redirecting the attention away from herself.
"Oh, us? Well, I was working in an office job for the whole time that my parent got for me... Have I ever told you how much I hate an office job?
I am never going back to working in the office. You can bet on my life I'm never going back to an office job."
Wuli answered as her voice got angrier and angrier before falling into silence, letting Leyan speak up once again.
"I can see that... Actually, Shuli, why did you move to the capital? You didn't get any big job offering at the capital, no?"
"I-I just moved to the capital because... I-I saw a teacher shortage there. A-And there are a lot more opportunities there."
Shuli replied, her voice sounding a little nervous for some weird, unknown reason, as Leyan didn't think too much into it.
"How about your two love lives? You guys surely have found a boyfriend or husband in the capital, right?"
The room fell into dead silence as soon as Leyan asked her question. Neither of them spoke up as their face flushed red.
If it weren't for the darkness hiding it, Leyan would have instantly noticed something was a little off.
"W-we are still s-single. We were too busy with work. Yeah, too busy with work, right, Shuli?"
"Yeah, we've got no time to date anyone."
"Oh, I see. How about now then? You two look so young now... I'm sure when you guys go outside, they are going to be all over you."
"They are already all chasing both of us..."
The two mumbled the same thing in their head, not saying it out loud, as it felt a little embarrassing once again.
"W-well, maybe later, we want to focus on our career first, right, Shuli?" Wuli asked.
"Yeah, I still need to be a principal for a school. It's going to be very busy work for the two of us." Shuli responded.
"Whatever... Wait a moment, don't tell me..."
Leyan froze for a second. Something just didn't add up in their story. Her mind quickly started developing a little theory.
One that would explain everything.
One that would explain how they acted on her wedding night and all the past interactions that go beyond what a normal 'best' friend would do.
"Tell you what?" Shuli asked in confusion.
"Ahem, I won't shame you guys or anything. But can you two just be honest with me? Like upfront about it?"
"Shaming for what? What are you on about? Stop beating around the bush." Wuli impatiently asked.
"Ahem... Are you two lesbians?"
"What! That's ridiculous. We are just close friends. Right, Shuli?" Wuli instantly asked, unfazed by the question.
"Yeah, we are just close friends. Leyan, are you reading those weird novels again? Those novels are going to rot your brain."
Shuli quickly knocked her finger on Leyan's head, causing her to groan in pain for a second before apologizing.
"Sorry! Anyone would have thought the same thing, too, if they saw two women still single in their forties."
Seeing her still trying to argue back, Wuli quickly joined in, tickling her side as she forced her to laugh uncontrollably.
"Ah, so Leyan is making fun of us being leftover women... Really trying to show off how she married early and has four kids?"
"ha ha hey stop. I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say it like that." Leyan apologized again as she started to run out of breath.
"Shuli, let's teach this married woman a lesson on why she shouldn't show off."
Wuli murmured as she moved past her pajama and onto her belly directly, which Shuli joined in on the other side.
"Hey, hahaha, stop, that's too far."
Leyan tried to resist, but the two kept tickling her belly. Only when she runs out of breath do they finally let her go.
"Hmph! That's what you get." Wuli warned, with Shuli letting out the same hmph.
"I-I swear I won't ever show off again."
Leyan sincerely apologizes this time, realizing how offensive her words had been to the two single women.
"Good, you better keep that promise." Wuli and Shuli said out loud at the same time.
