Before Leyan could finish answering, the two of them suddenly heard loud footsteps going down the stairs.
"Who's going downstairs this late at night?" Yueyue wondered as she murmured to herself.
"I don't know... Let's go check."
As the two slowly sneaked out of the room, they were a little confused to see absolutely nothing at all.
No one was outside the hallway. Nor was there anyone in the living room down the stairs.
