A police car drove right past the two of them, blasting its sirens before speeding off into the distance.
"Shit, that scared me a little," Xiaoyun murmured as he thought the police were after them for a second.
"C-Can we just go back?" Kate whispered, her arms and legs started to get a little tired as they continued to be wrapped around his back.
"Too late now... Don't forget you're making up to me with this."
Kate fell into silence as Xiaoyun took a few more steps before finally arriving at the newly renovated park.
"Man, it has been a while since I went to the park," Xiaoyun murmured as a sudden flashback hit him in the head.
"It's just a park..."
As Xiaoyun carried Kate further down the paved road, they soon arrived at the main area of the park.
It was a circular path with a kids' slide right in the middle, with benches all along the road itself.
