On the other side-
Inside the small van-
Fitz and Simmons spread out their equipment, preparing to begin tracking.
Simmons said, "This small town barely has any power, so finding this woman shouldn't be too difficult."
Skye, while operating her computer, chimed in, "Unless she already knows we're here."
Simmons glanced at Skye and replied, "No, you're not suggesting clairvoyance or telepathy, are you? Because…"
Skye smiled, "I know, because they don't exist."
"A little while ago, I would've dismissed heightened senses as something only crazy people believe in, like aliens or portals."
"But now, I've found a server."
…
Coulson, Ward, and Killer Bee walked through the street, showing the cleaning staff a photo of the woman, asking if they'd seen her.
At that moment, Ward's phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, he picked up and asked, "Did you find Amador?"
Skye, surprised, said, "What?"
"No, not yet."
"But we did find a broadcast, and there's a strange signal encrypted within it."
Ward asked, "Do you think Amador could be using that signal to communicate?"
Skye replied, "Maybe, but I'm calling because I have an equally urgent question for you, my supervising officer."
"What should we do if we need to, you know, take a bathroom break?"
Ward, exasperated, asked, "You're breaking protocol just because you need to use the bathroom?"
Skye explained, "The drive is really long, and everyone's a bit tense."
As he scanned the street for pedestrians, Ward said, "There's a container at the bottom of the blue crate."
Skye immediately turned to Simmons and said, "The bottom of the blue crate."
Simmons quickly pulled out the blue crate and opened it, eagerly flipping it over. Under the expectant gaze of both, she pulled out an empty water bottle.
Skye widened her eyes and asked, "It's not that water bottle, is it?"
"It is."
Skye, astonished, asked, "Haven't you ever studied biology?"
"Guys and girls have different parts, and ours don't work like… you know."
Ward, growing impatient, said, "We're currently tracking down a dangerous criminal. If there's nothing more urgent…"
"Okay, okay. Fitz just wanted to know if you brought snacks."
Fitz added, "Yeah, I'm a bit hungry."
Hearing this, Ward immediately hung up. Meanwhile, Killer Bee casually said, "Actually, I did bring some snacks."
Ward looked at Killer Bee and said, "Ignore them."
The three of them then arrived at a hotel reception desk. Coulson addressed the receptionist in Russian, saying, "Good afternoon."
"Good afternoon," she replied.
"I'm Agent Coulson, and this is Agent Ward."
"We're looking for this young woman."
Coulson pulled out his phone and showed the receptionist a picture of Amador. Killer Bee, appearing as a child, wasn't introduced.
The receptionist, upon seeing the photo, exclaimed, "Oh, she's my angel!"
Coulson and Ward exchanged glances before Ward asked, "Why do you say that?"
The woman looked at Ward and explained, "She has a gift—she knows everything."
"She told me to see a doctor, and they found a tumor. I'm scheduled for surgery next week."
"This girl saved my life."
Killer Bee's face showed curiosity, wondering what kind of ability could allow someone to detect a tumor just by looking at them.
Coulson said, "We need to talk to her."
"With her abilities, she must know you're here."
...
Meanwhile-
Fitz, working on his computer, grumbled, "I can't stabilize the signal—there's a local encrypted signal interfering."
Skye responded, "Mirror the signal to me. I might be able to use some of my Rising Tide techniques."
Fitz quickly mirrored the signal to Skye's computer.
Once the signal was mirrored, Skye worked on it rapidly.
"Got it. You're welcome."
The three of them immediately gathered around Skye, watching the video feed on her screen.
On the screen, a white van appeared, driving down a street.
Skye, confused, said, "Belarusian TV seems pretty boring."
Fitz frowned, "That looks a bit like our van."
The next second, the video changed to an X-ray-like view, revealing three silhouettes inside the van.
Simmons, shocked, asked, "What are we looking at?"
Fitz stood up, moving his arms in a series of gestures.
The X-ray silhouettes on the screen mimicked his movements exactly.
"This is us."
Suddenly, the video sped up.
"Bang!"
Their van was hit, causing everyone inside to lose their balance.
Skye shouted, "We need to get out, now!"
A similar-sized van was ramming into theirs. As the other vehicle reversed to prepare for another strike, Skye scrambled to the driver's seat, trying to start the engine. But when she stretched her leg, she realized she couldn't reach the pedals.
"Damn tall people."
She turned to Fitz and Simmons, shouting, "Call Coulson and give me the gun!"
Simmons quickly handed her the gun while also dialing Coulson on her phone.
Through the window, Skye saw their attacker—it was the person they were looking for.
"It's her."
Holding the gun with both hands, Skye mentally walked herself through the steps.
"Disengage the safety."
But instead, she accidentally pressed the magazine release, and the magazine fell into her lap.
Skye stared hopelessly out the window as the van charged toward them again.
"Bang?"
"Bang!"
Their van was knocked off the road and flipped over.
After ramming the van, Amador didn't continue her assault. Instead, she drove away.
Coulson, Ward, and Killer Bee received the distress call and rushed back to the scene. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured. After the rescue, and they all headed back to the aircraft.
Inside the plane, May stood silently as the group returned to the deck.
In the office, Ward said to Coulson, "Sir, Amador attacked us. She's clearly not as nostalgic as you are."
Coulson looked at Ward and asked, "How are they?"
"They were shaken, but luckily, they weren't hurt."
"She was clearly focused on escaping, so she just flipped the van."
"It will some time for them to recover. Also, Skye once again confused the magazine release with the safety switch."
