Chapter 109 - Ain

Evan's body regressed many years and became a small child.

The handsome boy's childhood beauty was captivating. Thus, what appeared before everyone was a child who looked like the living embodiment of a Greek sculpture in the style of the Pygmalion Myth, the kind of child every parent would want to raise.

Being hugged by a "child," Ain's heartbeat inexplicably started to speed up.

"Let go of me! Where are you touching!" Ain yelled, her voice trembling a little.

"But, you're the one holding me." Evan's immature voice sounded somewhat cute. "I just touched it accidentally; it's really slippery," he said as he removed his hands from Ain's body.

[Why is Ain here? And she made a sudden move—I didn't even realize it.]

[It's no use; my Observation Haki still isn't good enough.]

[Should I spar with Katakuri? Maybe after a few rounds of punching, I can predict the future.]

Evan was being plotted against, but he didn't panic at all. He even had the leisure to mentally jot down his thoughts, his smile as innocent and cute as a little boy's.

"Isn't she a Marine? Why is she holding hands with me—a pirate?" Evan blinked his wide eyes, looking innocent.

[Nami: Robin, did you see that?]

[Robin: Yes, I saw it.]

The petite, child-like version of Evan was a novelty for Nami and Robin. To be honest, they should have rushed to help him. After all, Evan's current situation didn't look good. However, after seeing his diary, they knew he must have a plan. So, they just ignored it, curious to see how Evan would handle being a child.

[Nami: Maybe the child I'll have with him in the future will be this cute.]

[Robin: If it's a daughter, maybe she'll be even cuter.]

For some reason, they both began thinking about an inexplicable future.

[Ain's legs—sigh, I should've done it a few more times.]

[Why did I stop? Should I put my hands back now?]

[No, that's not my style.]

[But so close, her scent is really nice.]

"I'm here to arrest you, pirate!" Ain shouted, clearly flustered. "Don't say nonsense!" she added, grappling with Evan and pushing him to the ground.

"Thunder Evan, you have your day too. Now, you're just a brat. What are you going to fight us with?" A smile spread across Gion's face, her earlier tension now gone. She squatted down, reaching out with interest to touch Evan's ear.

"Although he's a vicious pirate, he's really cute as a kid," Gion remarked, her smile widening. For some reason, the sight of this cute little boy stirred a sense of motherhood in her. Looking at his soft and tender face, she felt an urge to tease him.

"Gion Vice Admiral, do you know you're squatting right now? You're showing quite a lot," Evan said, blinking as he struggled to move.

"You brat, what are you looking at? You've been captured!" Gion's face blushed slightly, and she instinctively brought her legs together.

In truth, Evan hadn't seen anything; it was just a joke. However, being this close to those legs was quite the visual treat. The women of the Pirate World have the ideal figures—big where necessary and long where needed.

[Sorry, Oda. I admit I might have been a little too vocal before.]

[You're our male comrade, and the plot doesn't matter as much as drawing the girls well.]

[I have a friend—no, I just enjoy looking at this!]

Outwardly, Evan was firmly restrained by the two Marines and caught in an ambush that had turned him into a child. There was no doubt that Evan had already lost, with no hope of a comeback.

"Stop moving! If I use my ability again, you'll disappear!" Ain warned, feeling Evan's strong resistance. One touch could revert him by twelve years. When Evan first arrived in this world, he had been the same age as Luffy—a young man in his prime. Now, he was under ten years old. If Ain used her ability again, Evan would surely vanish.

[So, Ain's ability is truly heaven-defying.]

[One touch, and twelve years are gone. Two touches, and I'm finished.]

[These theatrical version Devil Fruits are just insane.]

[The Modo Modo no mi, the Raki Raki no mi, the Fuwa Fuwa no mi, the Gasha Gasha no mi—they're all ridiculous.]

Evan continued recording in his diary. Robin and Nami knew Evan too well—they had spent enough time together to understand that he always had a plan. However, for others, their calm reaction seemed a bit exaggerated.

"Mr. Evan! No!" Princess Shirahoshi, in the closed tower of Fish-Man Island, threw the diary from her hands. She was so timid that she couldn't handle seeing these developments. The Regression Fruit's ability scared her, knowing that just two hits could make Evan disappear. Trembling all over, she worried that the man she had thought about so often might really be in danger.

Having followed Evan's diary for so long, Shirahoshi had developed strong feelings for him, even though they hadn't officially met. Now that Evan was in danger, she felt the urge to go to him. She began to cry, and an inexplicable power started to take effect.

"Huh? What's happening? Could that be… Shirahoshi?"

"Why is the Fish-Man Island acting up?"

"Though it's not time yet, since there's an emotional surge, I'd better go check it out."

"Damn it, whatever happens next, I'm going all out."

Deep within the seas, the giant Sea Kings sensed Shirahoshi's emotions. So, they gathered a team and began moving toward Fish-Man Island. The residents of Fish-Man Island had already started to panic as the massive creatures neared, nearly swallowing the entire island.

"What on earth is happening?"

The Sea Kings looked down at Fish-Man Island. Though it appeared chaotic, there were no enemies. Shirahoshi's powers, operating unconsciously, had called them here.

Now, the Sea Kings were gathered but unsure of what to do, roaring over the island as Fish-Man Island descended further into chaos.
