Nami walked through the corridors of the merchant ship with light, calculated steps, observing every corner with a mixture of curiosity and greed. She knew that these kinds of ships usually had rooms reserved for the most valuable goods. When she pushed open the door of one of them and saw inside, her eyes gleamed for a moment.
Chests, boxes… this is where they keep the money.
But upon hearing footsteps approaching, her expression changed instantly, reverting to the calm and elegance she feigned in front of the nobles, as if she had never considered stealing anything at all.
"Hmm…?" she murmured suddenly.
On the table was a book that definitely hadn't been there before. She approached cautiously, looked around, and reached out. As soon as she picked it up and read the cover, her body tensed.
[Copy of Evan's Diary (Cat Burglar Nami)]
"What…?" she whispered.
Why did that diary have her name on it? Why did no one else seem to notice?
She looked around. Everyone else was walking through the room as if nothing had happened, as if the book didn't exist.
Before she could think too much, a well-dressed man approached with a charming smile.
"Beautiful lady, may I offer you a drink?"
Nami hesitated for barely a second, then accepted.
The glass was brought to her nose, and she discreetly sniffed the liquid. Years of sailing alone had made that reaction an automatic habit.
"Thank you..." she murmured.
She thought about asking him about the book.
"Did you happen to see what was on the...?" she gestured toward the table.
But a strange pressure tightened in her chest. The words simply wouldn't come out.
The man followed her gaze to the table and chuckled softly.
"There's nothing there, miss. Would you like to try one of our appetizers? I can call the waiter right away."
Nami was already backing away, diary in hand.
"I'm sorry, I feel a bit unwell."She forced a polite smile and walked toward the window, ignoring the confused man behind her. Her attention was entirely on the mysterious journal.
She opened it.
[I didn't expect to have transmigrated to the world of the manga One Piece.]
Nami frowned. One Piece? She thought of picture books at sea—like the famous stories of the East Blue warrior, Sora.
Was it something like that?
She continued reading.
[However, I was naked when I arrived. Luckily, I still had my beautiful looks—including the perfect body that would make someone like Cavendish die of envy.]
Nami's eye twitched. Was this guy serious? Was he writing nonsense without any illustrations to prove anything?
She flipped to the next page.
[Although I have to be careful, this world is full of pirates. If I'm not paying attention, I could die at any time. It's not like my body is made of some super-tough material instead of flesh and blood.]
[But my luck is actually amazing. After coming to this world, I accidentally fell into the ship of the future Pirate King and became the vice-captain of the Straw Hats—even though the captain got lost afterward…]
Nami's expression stiffened.Future Pirate King? How did this guy know such a thing? The only Pirate King she knew of was Gold Roger, executed in his hometown decades ago.Could a new Pirate King be appearing now?
She thought of Arlong, and her heart tightened.
She kept reading.
[But there's good news. I'm going to meet Nami soon—one of the heroines of One Piece I've always had in mind.]
[I must make sure to ask Nami for a Happiness Punch. That would be a wonderful thing.]
[And there's also the sly royal-sister-type Robin; the number one beauty Hancock; the also-world-famous beauty Shirahoshi; the Navy's most beautiful woman Momousagi; the adorable mink Carrot; Perona the Ghost Princess…]
[The world of One Piece has countless beauties, but Nami is my absolute favorite.]
[She may be called a little thieving cat, but she's stunning—especially in a wedding dress. Her appearance alone makes people want to marry her at first sight. If I marry Nami, even if Roger himself appears, he can't stop me.]
[And the most important thing: Momonosuke must die! Momonosuke must die! Momonosuke must die! Important things must be said three times.]
"…You've got to be kidding me." Nami's entire face turned red.A wedding dress?Who the hell was thinking about marrying her when she hadn't even seen the guy?!
And a harem?!Talking about her and then immediately listing other women?!
She clutched the diary, wanting to punch the idiot who wrote it.His head was clearly full of women—no normal thoughts at all.
✦ Wano Country
Meanwhile, far away in Wano, a graceful figure sat quietly in her room, lost in thought as she leafed through the same mysterious diary that had appeared before her.
She was tall and slender, with sea-green hair cascading to her waist and soft violet eyes. A delicate shade of pink lipstick highlighted her lips.
She was Kozuki Hiyori, daughter of Kozuki Oden and Kozuki Toki—one of the most important figures in Wano Country.
She read each line written by the enigmatic Evan with utmost seriousness. He claimed to have transmigrated into her world…He openly wrote about wanting a harem of beautiful women…And she was listed among them.
Hiyori felt her cheeks warm.
Then she read one particular line repeatedly.
"Momonosuke…?" She tilted her head.
She didn't recognize the name at all why would someone wish so intensely for the death of a person who didn't even had Seen?
And yet… she felt she had heard the name somewhere before.
✦ Back With Nami
When Nami resumed reading, her expression tightened in a very different way.It wasn't embarrassment anymore—just pure irritation.
This author… whoever he was…he clearly had no sense of restraint, writing whatever crossed his mind as if the world revolved around him.
Nami tapped the cover of the diary with her finger, her eyebrow twitching.
He talked big, acted like he knew everything, and wrote about people as if they were characters in some story. The arrogance alone made her want to smack him.
"Unbelievable…" she muttered.
If she ever met the guy, she wasn't sure whether she'd ask for answers—or hit him first.
"Hey, what are the sailors yelling about?" The nobles on the ship grew impatient at the noise outside—they were all guests of high status, after all.
"My lord, a pirate ship just appeared behin—"
BOOM!
Before the man finished his sentence, an explosion thundered across the sea.
The entire merchant ship shook violently everyone on board fell to the ground; the nobles completely lost their dignity as they rolled and stumbled in a panic.
Nami braced herself against the wall, her lips curling into a sly smile.
This was the perfect chance she planned to loot everything of value from the pirate ship approaching them.
The merchant Ship held only minor nobles—very little money. But a pirate ship? That was her true target.
Ignoring the chaos, Nami rushed outside.A group of pirates were already charging toward the merchant ship.No one remained on their own vessel.
She let out a breath of relief.Dealing with pirates was already routine for her—she'd long grown used to this sort of situation.
"What a great opportunity!"
Nami tore off her dress, instantly revealing her practical sailor suit underneath. She now looked like just another small-framed pirate. This trick had saved her several times; most pirates couldn't tell one scrawny crew member from another.
She slipped out of sight, grabbed the rope the pirates had used, and slid down onto the enemy ship.
In an instant, her eyes widened. There were treasures everywhere—piles of Berries, jewels, valuables stacked without care.
Counting everything quickly, it must have been several million Berries.A spectacular surprise.
BOOM!Another explosion rocked the merchant ship behind her.
Nami frowned and quickened her movements.
She lowered a small boat to the water and loaded all the treasure into it.She had no intention of getting entangled with this particular pirate crew.
After all…
She was just a weak little girl.
Or so people believed.
