Chapter 6 - chapter 6

"Is waiting for someone to save us the best thing we can do?" He asked and the boy went silent.

"Oh, whatever. If I turn into a zombie...you're so mad." Gyeong-Su muttered while Sa-Na turned to her best friend, moving her to the other side of the room so they could talk.

"We're going to make it out alive right, me, you and Suhyeok." Sa-Na paused and gulped. "We will all survive, right?"

"Of course, it's going to take more than zombies to split us all up." Da-Gyun grinned suddenly. "I bet he's waiting for us somewhere safe, laughing at how he managed to make us so worried." The two seemed to not believe each other but it was comforting for a moment. "I know exactly what he's going to say when we see him."

"Aw, you were worried about me, you care about me, how cute." The two girls spoke at the same time, chuckling quietly at their friends predictability.

"Guys, we're done." Cheong-San called the two over and they walked over to the rest of the group. They'd thrown the hose out the window, tied knots in them, big enough for a hand and a foot to fit inside. "I'll go down and check the empty rooms. I'll call when it's clear,

okay? He leaned onto the windowsill, turning to look at his best friend before swinging his feet back into the room. He stepped off the chair, ignoring the questions and turned to them. "Gyeong-Su you go first." He suddenly announced.

"Why? Did you see something?" His friend questioned.

"No. But you go first." He insisted.

"What's down there?" Gyeong-Su continued to question while Sa-Na rolled her eyes.

"I'll be. go first." Sa-Na told the group, shocking her

"What? No?" Da-Hyun asked in disbelief.

"Relax, I'm not going to die." Sa-Na commented, moving Cheong-San out of the way and positioning herself on the windowsill.

"Promise?" Da-Hyun asked, holding out her pinky, just like they did when they were kids.

Sa-Na smiled, "I promise." She wrapped her pinky around her friends before letting go and turning herbody around to place one foot down and placing it into the hole they had created. She slowly lowered her body down, repeating this until she reached a set of windows.

She looked into the windows seeing a zombie, clawing at the glass. She squealed in shock before recomposing herself and continuing to make her way down the rope until she reached the bottom of the rope.

"Sa-Na! Sa-Na!" Ms. Park exclaimed, opening the

window and helping the girl into the room. "Be careful."

"Hey, dumbasses," Sa-Na began calling up to the group, Ms. Park not even bothering to warn the girl to be nice, "Ms. Park is down here!"

She pulled herself back into the room and the teacher grabbed her hand, checking her over for injuries. "Are you okay? She asked worriedly as the girl nodded.

"Yeah, I'm okay." She smiled at her teacher.

"Were you with the other kids by any chance?" Ms. Park questioned and she nodded.

"They're in the science lab. They'll come down now." Sa-Na explained to her, letting out a relived breath.

Maybe they had a shot at making it out of this mess alive.
