How can one not be afraid?
The contractions felt as if they were tearing her apart; Sophie Sullivan was in such pain that her whole body convulsed, her hand trembled violently.
"Lucifer... I'm scared."
The words were incoherent, the voice trembling terribly.
Even though she knew childbirth was extremely painful, it wasn't until this moment that she realized she had always thought too optimistically.
The pain became stronger with each wave, destroying her consciousness, tearing her body.
She retreated...
Lucifer tightly grasped her hand, turned to look at the doctor, his eyes frighteningly red, "I'll accompany the childbirth!"
This wasn't a request; it was an order!
The doctors didn't dare refuse, nodding repeatedly, "Your Highness Lucifer, please change into sterile clothing for disinfection."
Lucifer lowered his head, gently cupped Sophie Sullivan's face, and softly comforted, "Dear, I'll be back soon. You need to be strong, Cecilia Branford is the bravest, hmm?"
