Karl immediately ordered one of the Hunters to send word to every other guild through their shared radio frequency about what happened.
"Spread the news. All guilds need to hear this," he said, his voice sounds like cold iron.
One of the Hunters answered without hesitation, "Yes, sir," and hurried away to carry out the command.
Karl then stepped toward Rurik's still body. He crouched, his massive frame casting a shadow over the body and reached down with one broad calloused hand.
His thick fingers gently closed Rurik's eyes. He lingered there a moment, head bowed, before lifting his gaze to Veylan.
"Where?"
"The place where the battle three days ago happened, sir," Veylan replied quietly.
Karl gave a single slow nod.
"Then I'll go there myself." His tone remained calm, but the air around him felt heavier, charged with quiet intent. His eyes moved over the gathered Hunters. "That place may still hold strong Supernaturals. I want two of my A-Rank Hunters to come with me."
