With love, pity, sadness, and happiness filled in her eyes, Rose watched as Doctor Jazz took care of Candy, who laid on the bed.
"How is she, Doc?" she asked immediately the doctor approached her.
"She is fine. All she needs now is a good sleep—lest I forget, good food and water too," Doctor Jazz said with a flirty smile on his face. He moved and marched closer to Rose, his blue eyes not leaving her pretty face.
Rose took a few steps back with caution.
"What?" she frowned at him.
"I've been asking you out for the past three months now. Why can't you accept me, Rose?" he asked.
"Because I don't like you and you aren't my type… I don't date doctors because they are all flirts," she replied, making Jazz laugh.
"Who is she? That Raymond himself asked me to take care of?" he asked.
Well, you might be asking why he got the guts to call the boss's name—he is Raymond's immediate childhood friend, but Raymond, being an introvert, doesn't like hanging out with him all the time.
The immediate time he asked the question, the door flipped open and Diana stepped inside. With her facial expression, you would know she was burning with so much anger.
"She is one debtor's stupid daughter. I don't know why the boss chose to keep her alive," Diana replied to Jazz's question.
"Wow," the doctor grinned and looked at Candy, who was sleeping so damn well.
"Diana!" Rose snapped at her, making her roll her eyes.
Doctor Jazz returned his attention back to Rose.
"See you later, pretty," he winked at her and turned away. He left.
Jose and Julie were on their way to see Candy when they saw Doctor Jazz.
"Here comes the most handsome man in this clan after the boss," Julie smiled sheepishly, and Jose frowned at her words.
"Good day, Doc," they greeted, and he flashed a beautiful smile at them.
Julie paused, turning to watch his retreating back.
"Damn, he is so sweet," she muttered, and Jose glared at her.
"Just know he can never be yours. It's either you end up with me or end up inside the kitchen… two things are involved," Jose muttered, and Julie snapped her eyes at him sharply.
She dipped her hands into her apron and brought out her spoon to hit him, but Jose took to his heels.
"You should f**cking stop there, bastard!" she yelled after him.
…
The immediate time Jazz entered Raymond's office, he pretended as if he was sleeping.
Jazz grinned and sat beside him on the cushion.
"You should better get up and give me an explanation here," Jazz said, making Raymond groan and open his eyes. His mouth started moving, signifying he was chewing on his bubble gum.
"Who allowed you in here, Jazz? If you're done with the business you came for, then leave."
He stood up, walked to his table, opened the drawer, and brought out his usual lollipop. He unwrapped it, put it into his mouth, and sat down.
"Why are you still keeping her here? Since she is a debtor's daughter, you should just sell her off," Doctor Jazz said, and Raymond lazily looked at him from where he was seated.
