Chapter 49 - STRAWBERRY TASTE

Candy gulped under the weight of his gaze—those silver eyes were dangerously captivating. Slowly, he uncrossed his legs and rose to his feet, striding toward her without once breaking eye contact.

In one swift motion, he grabbed her from the doorway and pressed her back against the wall. A soft gasp slipped from her lips as her back met the cold surface. Raymond planted both hands on the wall beside her, caging her in effortlessly. He leaned down until his face was level with hers, his eyes boring into hers as her heart pounded wildly in her chest.

"Why do you enjoy disobeying me, little mosquito?" he asked, his voice low—cold, yet not entirely void of warmth. "I told you not to leave this room. Why didn't you listen?"

"I… I…" Candy stammered, her voice barely steady. "I went to take my bath and eat—"

Raymond slammed his palm against the wall beside her, making her flinch as chills ran through her.
