The village chief's sons left, and Melody Duncan closed the door, turned around, entered the Examination Room with a sullen face, and asked, "What's the discomfort?"
"Where is the child?" Ethan Thompson counter-questioned instead of answering.
"The child?" Melody Duncan snorted coldly, looking at the man in front of her with a shamelessly thick face: "You have the face to ask about the child?"
Ethan Thompson's face grew even more uncomfortable, but he still insisted on his question: "Melody, where is the child?"
"Dead," she answered with a voice as cold as ice: "Just as you wished, passed away in the womb."
"Passed away?" Ethan Thompson's voice trembled as he looked at Melody Duncan, and after a long while, he asked again, "How did it happen? I checked - back then, you didn't have an abortion at Bay City Hospital!"
