Melody Duncan has been in this remote mountainous area for more than two years, and throughout these years, she has never left the mountains again.
When she first arrived at the village in the mountainous area, the village chief did not trust her, and was even unwilling to let her stay in the village, thinking she was a charlatan.
She presented her medical license and award certificates, but the village chief and the villagers did not believe her. They said charlatans have everything, and told her to leave quickly. They were short of medical supplies, but they did not need charlatans.
Melody Duncan thought, the reason the villagers disliked her so much was probably because they had been severely deceived by charlatans before, and so now they no longer accepted so-called doctors.
