Scarlett Glenn was initially quite angry, but upon hearing this, her anger instantly dissipated. She stared intently at Jennie and asked Ethan Herd, "Where are you now?"
"I'm downstairs at the hotel where you're staying. I've just parked the car and am about to come up."
Scarlett Glenn curled her lips, "Alright, you come up yourself."
"Okay, wife. I brought you some food. Wash your hands, and we'll have a midnight snack."
Scarlett Glenn's lips curled up, "Okay, hurry up."
Jennie was already covered in cold sweat. She cautiously said, "Scarlett, you... see, I'm really not lying to you. The boss... since he's already here, I'll just leave first and not disturb you."
Scarlett Glenn didn't speak. Not lying to me, then why act so panicked? Clearly, it's the guilty behavior of a thief.
Jennie's expression was anything but normal. Although Ethan Herd did indeed come, she was obviously lying as well.
