"Now let's not be so accusatory," the Creator spoke, "I only wanted to see the potency of the liquor that they had a part in conceiving."
He continued to ramble on, "This spirit water stuff is no joke kid. You discovered a rare material and even bestowed a spirit in it! Do you know how hard it is to find a suitable vessel for a spirit to inhabit?"
"I mean seriously. That one fellow with the rough exterior and his little sidepiece are a magnificent sight to behold. A whole planet full of beings able to house a spirit that can even manifest into an object is unheard of!"
Null grew angry as the Creator spoke, "What's your point? Why did you even create something as frivolous as spirit liquor while hiding away inside the deep recesses of my mind?"
"Because I couldn't just sit back and die while It sat there all the while!"
The Creator shot back at Null, "All my life I did whatever I wanted thanks to the Cosmic Authority that channeled through my entire being. But now I see it manifested entirely differently in you and utilized in entirely different ways with new beings that evolved during my time away and it astonishes me."
"I saved you when the Cosmic Authority manifested by the campfire with the girl. It has her instead of you giving you time to become strong enough to save her. Otherwise, you would have just ended up freeing It at the cost of your life."
"YOU WHAT?!"
Null's aura exploded at that point resulting in the frail traces of the Creator to flicker in and out of his mind.
"Consider yourself cursed kid. Only your death can seal Its fate."
"I don't care about my death. I only cared about her life!"
"That's what I don't get about you. Why can't you learn to move on and focus on those around you. Look at the poor spirit you brought into existence just to reject them when they're at their most vulnerable."
"Ego can't replace her! Nothing can replace her! All my miserable life I had no one until she noticed me. I can barely even remember my parents' faces!"
It was at this point that the Creator sighed, "Listen very closely to what I'm about to say kid because you're not going to like it."
Null was about to dismiss whatever was about to be said when the Creator looked at him with traces of pity in his eyes.
"Try to remember your life on your home planet. Start with your earliest memories."
"What are you on about? I lived a normal life. I-I...," when he really put his mind to it, Null could not recall any family or friends growing up.
He could not even recall growing up at all for that matter.
"I was still scattered throughout space when you were experiencing life on the null planet."
"It's not much, but considering how you shifted from being to being, your soul has retained the extensive growth of all your past lives."
What was being said by the Creator shocked Null to his core.
'Have I been living a lie all this time without even thinking about it?'
Understanding his confusion the Creator elucidated further, "Outside of the natural cycle of reincarnation and rebirth, you alone existed taking on the form of those you instinctively found intriguing. Even I have no idea your path towards sentience, but what I do know is that the boy you became was the latest form you took and inherited his life."
"You're kidding, right? How would you even know something like that anyways? I must just have trauma induced amnesia or something."
The Creator sighed once more, "Do you really think someone experienced as I would be ignorant of a part of my own soul. If I had absorbed you back then, I would have regained all of your memories and more. There's a reason why I had you change your form one last time."
Null remembered the time with Theef when he was recalled into his mind space to face the Creator.
"So you turned me into a fucking banana, what stupid reason would you have to do that?"
The Creator smiled, "To release your limits. So that you could be free to exist as yourself and not be shackled by the restraints of humanity! Trust me, it took the remainder of my power to induce the transformation."
"Does that mean you never intended to take my body in the first place?"
"Given the time I spent here hidden away in your mind, I'd say it was worth the sacrifice. Not only have I witnessed the changes your body has on its own, the dictation of spirits and living bases of power to help bolster your control of the Cosmic Authority was enlightening in and of itself."
Null disregarded the Creator's praise as he could not wrap his mind around his origin.
'This whole time I melded perfectly into my life as a human without even realizing it,' a sudden thought surfaced in his mind.
"What do you mean by taking the form of those I found intriguing?"
'Indeed he couldn't put the matter behind him,' the Creator could not cease his sighing.
"To begin with, the planet was able to form around the vestige of my soul after I detonated it. This means two things: firstly, my soul was basis of life and secondly, all souls that would have eventually been born on the planet would help gather my lost remnants overtime."
He continued, "These souls would naturally develop a connection to mine as they were drawn to it via karma allotted due to their past lives. This same connection is what allowed those of your human life to naturally omit any obscurities as to the nature of yourself."
The Creator's words aligned with the fact that Null lived with ignorance as to how he suddenly felt he had no background.
"This is why I say it's better to leave your feelings for the girl behind. She's only a minor consequence in life that managed to find a connection with you."
Null felt enraged by the Creator's words.
Even Ego who was sitting aside from the two still feeling embarrassed after the reenactment could feel his rage triggering a response in them.
After all, Rage only used Ego as a conduit to rebirth himself after his travels through the gods of Space and Time— it was Null who originally had tied him to the outside world.
The rage boiled his blood and seared his flesh, but Null contained it nonetheless.
"It was that minor consequence they changed my life. She saved my life. Sofina!"
He erupted at the Creator who now remembered his previous fight with Null.
While he seemed rather meek and nonreactive at times, Null's emotional state could trigger the deepest response that came from his very soul.
"You say I should just forget about her, yet what else is there for me to care for out there!"
"That's your naivety speaking! There are countless planets out there with countless other people to fall in love with! I'm simply telling you not to be chained down to one thing when you have the power to have it all! What about that do you not understand?!"
"It's you who doesn't understand! I have no memory beyond what she meant to me. Nobody to hold, nobody to make me feel like myself. Null down to the core. But with her all else became null in comparison. Null down to the very planet and all my past lives."
