With everyone focused on Null and Ego and Void and Gea distracted by the fun they were having, nobody noticed the exchange between Theef and Oregon.
Except for two.
Still in each other's embrace, Oregon did not notice Tino and Angie running towards him until they both jumped on his back.
Right after Theef got ahold of the vibration treasure, Null secretly spoke with Ego about doing something for him.
As easy as they fell victim to the enthralling dance, the twins were snapped out of their trance.
They scanned the arena and saw what was happening with Oregon and Theef so they watched and saw the change in his demeanor.
The past life compared to the current made for a stark contrast, but it seemed his old self was still there.
Oregon was always trying to prove his strength since he was not the smartest, but he just wanted to be the best protector for his crewmates.
They jumped from the seats and ran towards their "simple" friend.
Feeling an additional two hugs, Oregon trembled heavily.
As things settled down and everyone was left to live out the rest of their lives with this memory in mind, the crew got together to conversate normally.
They each recalled their new lives and such.
Null was able to retell his journey of how he had a deadline to save his significant other and the rest was history.
"I guess you really could not help yourself on that day. And to think you're now so much more powerful compared to before."
'Says you!'
Everyone just stared at Oregon with a look that said it all.
"And to top it all of, the captain is someone completely unrelated to the past Castello Crew!"
"Captain?"
The twins were confused.
"He's the captain of the ship, not the crew itself, right?"
"Right?"
Everyone laughed except for Theef.
"Oh yeah? Laugh it up all you want, but see if I let you back on my ship later on!"
That just made everyone laugh even harder.
Before he could storm off to leave with his ship, Null spoke, "I don't think there's a captain. We're all just together to help each other reach our goals."
"Alright, alright. I'm not the captain. But what you said isn't quite the truth," Theef said cryptically.
Null was confused, "What do you mean?"
Theef just looked between each of the crew members, "We're all here for you, man."
Null smiled, "Let's get everyone else together to meet the latest readdition to the crew, Oregon, the Great Mother's Champion!"
Superego went to work and disappeared only to reappear moments later with another person.
Klein, Z'oelo, Edmond, and Evangeline made their appearances.
As soon as Edmond and Evangeline were teleported to the rest of them, almost everyone was frozen.
They introduced themselves and took the silence as a chance to explain.
As it turned out, Evangeline's enthralling person was only enhanced thanks to her Universal Rule of Enchantment and she was not sure how to control it.
The atmosphere was a bit awkward as everyone including the females saw her as the most attractive person they've ever seen.
The extent of this went as far as her appearance changing based on the preference of the person viewing her.
Needless to say, the natural biological reactions of some of the males there were threatening to show if nothing was to change.
The only ones unaffected were Edmond, Theef, and Ego.
The first had Evangeline all to himself so he was already used to seeing her as the most attractive woman he had seen.
Truth be told, Theef was still affected by the Evangeline that he saw, but he could manage to keep his thing under control.
Ego was able to completely negate the effects of the Universal Rule thanks to the Cosmic Structure, but even without it, they only had eyes for one.
When they saw Null practically drooling over the Sofina-Evangeline mix, they grew dissatisfied with the reaction.
And so, Ego walked up to Evangeline and tapped her arm.
Like magic, the power of her Universal Rule was cranked down to the point where she appeared normal.
"This is only temporary until you figure out how to control it by yourself."
Evangeline was too pure to notice the sass in their voice and thanked them.
Ego nodded and walked back to Null with an expression he could not quite understand.
The look was one a person gave when they found out that the person they liked liked someone other than themself.
"Keep it in your draws, pervert," was all they said before entering his mind space.
Null looked down to see a half chub in his already tight underwear.
He nonchalantly took the Rainbow Mane blanket and wrapped it around his waist.
Edmond could not contain his laughter after seeing the effect Evangeline had on them.
Everyone was embarrassed, but Null slyly changed the topic, "If you think Evangeline's Universal Rule is something, wait till you hear about Oregon's!"
Those who were doing their own things perked up as Null told them about their "death match".
"Wait a minute. You're saying this guy comprehended a Universal Rule mid fight?!"
"That's not the point. He was only an Immortal when the fight started!"
It was not a surprise to see the others in shock of Oregon's feats in the past hours.
His Void and Soul Stones were invaluable as resources that were able to simulate abilities similar to Null's effortless way of generating energies.
Theef was eager to shed light on the mystical nature of the vibrations and how they helped him grasp his Universal Rule.
Chimera Theef turned out to be not only comprised of the treasures he devoured, but the races he could turn into as well.
It was natural for him to combine the special features of each race after realizing the shackle he placed on himself.
His Universal Rule of Companionship allowed him to reconstruct his body to accommodate unique organs— like the mofei core and livellum— from the other races.
He could also become able to wield the energies and abilities of the other races as if he was a talented native.
And so, Theef shared with Klein the formation of his own mofei core by pinpointing the "knot" where his mei veins were centered upon.
He also asked for some of Tino's blood since one of his first treasures was from a blood crystal containing vampiric essence.
The abilities he absorbed from the treasures he first used on Null's home planet only grew with him.
For the most part, Theef set aside the abilities that were not useful in battle.
That did not mean that there were better or more useful abilities, just that the circumstances each could be used in varied.
After absorbing some of Tino's blood, an orange aura erupted from Theef's body.
Before the surprise could settle, he took out his collection of Trancendent treasures and let some of his acidic saliva onto them.
His new power allowed him to digest the Trancendent level treasures and make them his own.
With this, he was a wielder of multiple Transcendent abilities after only mastering a Universal Rule.
Still, he was stuck on the ground unable to resist gravity.
Theef did not let it get to him.
He got to feel what it was like to be in space with zero gravity and that was enough for him.
For the others however, they got a more reliable senior to pave the path ahead of them or at least guide them forward in some way.
Theef had the experience of helping others comprehend their Universal Rules and now understood his own which only pushed him to Pseudo-Enlightenment.
He gained inspiration from Klein and had a thought that would change the direction of everyone in the crew.
"What Universal Rule would you say suits you, Klein? Anything at all, even if you haven't already tried resonating with it!"
"I don't know. I guess something to do with precision or simplification. That's mostly what I feel suits me."
Theef only took a second before his pupils started spinning, "Hehe. Why not think bigger? Or rather in smaller parts that connect to form a larger whole."
Klein could not help but ruminate on the idea, "You don't mean...," his eyes widened.
"Take it from me, conforming to other's standards only limits your potential. With your brains you outta be able to figure it out."
Klein was already simulating the possibilities in his head while the rest were clueless on what the exchange meant.
Z'oelo in particular wanted to know what his rival gained so as to find a way to surpass him.
"What did you tell him," he asked.
Theef chuckled, "You'll see! If you think it's crazy for me to have so many treasures, then just think about comprehending multiple Universal Rules by yourself!"
Before anyone could realize what he implied, Klein flew into the space above the arena.
