Once in the air, Klein's eyes seemed to glow as mofei surged from his core.
The mofei was separated into each respective element: earth, air, fire, water, light, darkness, nature, and mind.
He had already studied and experimented with each element to the point where he used scientific instruments to test and understand them in ways he understood best.
Despite all of this, he was still unable to figure out a suitable Universal Rule to encompass everything that he comprehended.
The elements all differed whether it was the way that they existed or were used and found in nature.
Because of this, Klein focused on a practical rule that would utilize his elements rather than a meaning tied to them all.
This was the only thing he could come up with until he heard Theef's suggestion.
Instead of one Universal Rule that ran on each element, he would designate each element with a Universal Rule of its own!
With all of the knowledge he compiled, the theory was well within his calculations.
He stared at the elements before going down the line.
For earth there was the Universal Rule of Mass.
For air there was the Universal Rule of Rotation.
For fire there was the Universal Rule of Ignition.
For water there was the Universal Rule of Depth.
As the four primary elements were given their Universal Rule, they fused with his left eye.
Moving onto the specialized elements, Klein started with light and darkness.
For light there was the Universal Rule of Purity.
For darkness there was the Universal Rule of Corruption.
For nature there was the Universal Rule of Impermanence.
For mind there was the Universal Rule of Reaction.
Once those elements were processed, they fused with his right eye.
To say that his eyes were treasures would be a severe understatement.
They were not only capable of sensing the highest grade magic there was, but were also the equivalent of two inactive cores!
If Klein were more introspective when it came to researching his own body, he would have long since noticed the uniqueness of the two treasures.
And to think Klein would only admonish his eyes for being too powerful to see normally!
So what if all you needed was some glasses or contacts?!
His eyes were even capable of allowing him to externally manipulate mofei— something that even his father was barely capable of doing.
With the addition of the Allbeast's pure primordial ichor, Klein had also gained a latent bloodline that provided a boost to his musculature and tendons.
It was just that Klein neglected his personal health by holing himself in a lab that he had mollifed any perks he gained on this front.
By improving the power of his elements and gaining the power of the Universe, his eyes not only absorbed the new energies but they also combined them into two entirely new elements.
They were the space element formed from the primary elements and the time element formed from the more complex elements.
All of the ten elements were pushed through the complex collective of mei veins connected to his eyes as the channels widened and synergized to the Universal Rules.
His mind was reinforced several times over as the mind mofei was the only element to travel through his brain.
He felt his eyes burn a little as his brain was able to accommodate more of their output.
Then— as if by predetermined from the start— the elements separated and gathered in his fingers.
His beautifully grown fingernails each glowed with them power of the elements inside of them forming ten natural treasures.
"You see that shit?! Haha! Who's next?"
Z'oelo's fighting spirit surged from within and his bloody ki started flaring up.
"Oho? Is this the power of those earrings then? Come on spit it out! What Universal Rule are you thinking about?"
"I can't put it into words, that's just how stupid I am. I crave the strength to use Muni's physical form and unravel the secrets of these earrings. The only thing I've gotten out of them is about bloodthirst."
Theef's pupils continued to chaotically swirl as he deduced something, "And how has your bloodlust changed you thus far?"
Z'oelo scratched his head, "I don't know too much yet. To put it simply, my ki has been tainted into something stronger."
Theef looked at him like he was an idiot, "I take it you haven't killed anything since the change happened."
He nodded.
Theef sighed, "Care to help out for a second, Tino, the Sanguine Warlock? Oh by the way that basically just means relating to blood."
"You need my blood," Tino asked.
Theef nodded, "You replenish blood faster than I do. Plus it's cool seeing you spray it out your finger holes."
Both Theef and Tino had a sensitivity towards blood so this was a test to see if he had any new response to blood.
And so, Tino pointed a finger at Z'oelo and looked at Theef, "Just spray him?"
"Yup," Theef gave a thumbs up.
Tino gave Z'oelo a look of anticipation, but he did not feel any particular way about blood.
However, when the blood reached the "tainted" ki, the blood was absorbed and pitted against Z'oelo's own.
Tino had enchanted blood that contained the essence of the beings he absorbed.
Currently, the enchanted blood was still pretty pure as only demonic and slime essences occupied it.
This still helped as both beings had abilities based on consumption which helped ease the absorption process.
Instead of fighting the foreign blood, the bloody ki greedily consumed it causing a reaction in the ancient earrings.
More bloody ki surged from his body as if asking for more blood.
"Increase the output," Theef barked.
Tino raised all of his fingers and sprayed liters of blood at Theef.
More and more blood was consumed and blood-red markings shone on the earrings.
A satisfied gulp resounded from them as the artifact spirit of the ancient earrings came into existence.
"Damn! It may have took a while, but this blood sure is tasty!"
Instead of a small fairy-like spirit, a fully grown six-armed Asura stood next to Z'oelo.
"Hmm. It wasn't from a kill either. And only four arms? This newborn must be a runt. Just look at this crude spirit weapon. Tsk!"
It seemed like the Asura had not yet scanned his surroundings as he only inspected Z'oelo before giving his remarks.
"Hey! You can say whatever you want to me all you want, but don't you dare insult Muni like that!"
The Asura spirit suddenly let out a spiritual pressure that locked onto Z'oelo, "A punk like you questions what I, Mighty Asura King, Ram, dare to do?! I could rape your mother and decapitate your father before you and you would find it futile to stand up to me!"
Z'oelo took disrespect towards him on the chin, but speaking in such a way about others he cared about triggered his combative personality.
"I could bash my father's head in without blinking, but you better keep my mother out of your pathetic mouth. And apologize to Muni before I toss your shitty earrings in a toilet where they belong."
Ram was about to explode with anger, but a voice from above came first, "Forget about your earrings for now, Z'oelo. Let's you and me fight it out for a bit, okay? I'm dying to test out these Universal Rules!"
Klein took the Allbeast, who stuck to him like glue even during the process of comprehending his Universal Rules, and gave it back to Null.
"What kind of man looks like that? And what are Universal Rules? How long has it been since I've been in slumber?"
Ram could not contain his thoughts but his previous indomitable aura had died out.
"If we're getting a fight like this, Goldie has to be here. Ego?"
"Just finished telling him."
With the coin on Theef, Barter's Ruler appeared next to him in a flash.
"You're telling me he comprehended multiple Universal Rules?!"
He could not help but exclaim.
"What about Z'oelo? What has he comprehended?"
Despite hearing that the two of his "pupils" were about to fight, he only wanted to know how far each progressed.
They all pointed to Z'oelo who was previously talking to the air next to him.
Null let everyone in on what happened once Ram awakened since he was the only one who could see him.
The others did feel the effects of the spiritual pressure despite not knowing its source.
"He hasn't grasped a Universal Rule, so how is he supposed to fight Klein exactly," Barter's Ruler questioned.
"All part of the process," Theef only clasped his shoulder and smiled.
A glint flashed in Barter's Ruler's eyes when he heard Theef's words.
'So we've reached another mentoring session,' he was all for it.
