If Nick had been planning to inform his friends about what he's about to do now, or even send them just a small heads-up, that thought had certainly flown out the window...

The only sign they'd get from him was seeing his Empyrean Phantom enlarging until it's almost as big as, if not bigger than, the entirety of the Heavenly Star Chaos Realm.
Of course, not everybody could see this. Only those who are related and are extremely sensitive to the changes of the world would perceive what's happening.
And obviously, the sudden appearance of Nick's Empyrean Phantom had shocked his friends. They cursed and dropped everything they were doing to get to where Nick was.
They wanted to punch him for catching them off guard, but they're a little too late. Nick couldn't be disturbed anymore. They could only wait until this was over.
