Dressed in the same white robe as Kaku Juurou, his face was painted in elaborate colors, making it hard to discern his true appearance. His beast ears and tail were not white but a vibrant red. Compared to Kaku Juurou, this Kitsune Youkai gave a more effeminate and demonic impression.

At the moment he saw this Kitsune Youkai, Kamiyagawa had some understanding of possibly what was happening.
He truly had been duped.
The "Kaku Juurou" seen earlier seemed not to be the real Kaku Juurou.
Just like the "Fukuhime" seen at the Tanuki Imperial Palace wasn't the real Fukuhime.
Kamiyagawa himself had said that without knowing that "Fukuhime" had been replaced, if one assumed from the start, even he wouldn't notice the trickery of "a tanuki replacing the princess."
