Chapter 40 - 3-

Chapter 3: Permanent Retirement

It had been a week since the Tennyson's took down Animo, Gwen had pranked Ben by switching his shampoo with pink hair dye so his hair was still pink. Ben hadn't gotten revenge on Gwen yet, but when he does it'll definitely be satisfying. Max told them they were gonna go and visit his sister their great Aunt Vera.

Ben groaned in annoyance while Gwen was all too giddy to see their aunt. Max told them she lived in a retirement community in Nevada. Ben was currently scrolling through the watch while Gwen watched in boredom.

"Didn't grandpa tell you to stop messing with that thing?" Gwen asked as Ben shrugged his shoulders.

"I'm scrolling through my playlist and giving them names." He arrived at that crystalized alien and smirked, "Hm, I'mma call you, Chromarock. Nah that's lame. Chromastone!" He turned the dial to see another unused alien he hasn't tried yet. It looked to be made of slime, "Hmm, I'll call you Goop."

"Why Goop? Why not name it a pile of snot." Gwen retorted.

"Gwen, be quiet before I make you regret it." Ben glared as he then spun the dial to see a large crab, "Whoa, look at the brains on him. Brainblast? No. Braingrain? Noo. Brainhunter? Close, but no."

Max from the drivers seat could tell his grandson was struggling before adding his input, "How about Brainstorm?"

Ben's eyes widened, "Yes that could work, Brainstorm. Thanks grandpa."

Max smiled and nodded as Ben spun to the last hologram this one was a bit plain and decided he doesn't deserve a name for now at least. He spun the watch a few more times before deactivating it, gaining Gwen's attention.

"Why didn't you name the last one?" Gwen asked.

Ben shrugged his shoulders, "I don't know, maybe I need to see it in action before I name it."

Gwen raised her eyebrow, "You didn't need to see Goop or Brainstorm in action, but named them anyway."

"I named them based on appearance, compared to the last alien." Ben answered.

"You're a complicated person." Gwen replied and Ben shrugged his shoulders.

Ben went to gazing out the window as they entered the quiet retirement home. Gwen had taken her spot in the passenger seat while Ben gazed out the window lifelessly. He watched as an old man backflipped off the roof sending the shocked Ben bewildered, "Whoa! Did you guys see that?!" Ben shouted.

"What are you talking about?" Gwen responded.

"That old man he just backflipped off his roof." Ben exclaimed.

"Ben, I doubt that's what you saw." Max answered.

Ben huffed in annoyance as he went back to gazing out the window, "I know what I saw." He retorted as the RV soon stopped infront a small house. With a women in her late sixty's standing outfront with a smile on her face.

She had short white hair, a red Hawaiian shirt with yellows, a beige skirt, and black flats. She waved cheerfully as the RV door opened, "Vera!" Max responded happily to see his big sister.

"Max!" Vera hugged her little brother before Gwen stepped up next, "Gwendolyn." She smiled hugging her grand niece.

"Aunt Vera!" Gwen hugged her back before the pink haired alien hero stepped up.

"Benjamin! What happened to your hair?" She questioned as his hair was still pink.

"A very very very cruel prank." He responded with anger before shaking his head, "It's great to see you, Aunt Vera."

"You as well, Benjamin." She hugged the boy tightly, "Well come on in, you'll catch your deaths in this heat." She ushered them inside. Max, Vera, and Gwen made their way inside while Ben huffed in annoyance.

"Some vacation." He retorted before catching a glimpse of Vera's neighbor from his window. The old man glared at the boy before hissing at him, then shutting the curtains, "Rude."

"Ben, you coming?" Max called out snapping the boy from his gazing.

"Uh yeah." Ben stuffed his hands into his pockets before walking inside the house.

It was official, his Aunt Vera was the epitome of weird. Ben gazed around his aunts house. Ben groaned silently as he took a seat at the table before hearing his cousin ask about a bird which dragged into a 30 minute talk about birds. Ben layed his head on the table before Vera had grabbed some jello with chunks of meatloaf and cauliflower.

"Dig in gang." Vera replied happliy.

"Looks good, sis." Max replied eating every bite before gazing at Ben and Gwen, "What are you two waiting for dig in?"

"Uh what are those brown and white chunks inside the jello?" Ben asked with an eyebrow raised.

"Meatloaf and Cauliflower." Vera grinned.

Gwen grabbed her spoon and broke off a piece of it and tasted it. She nearly dropped her spoon and gagged which didn't go unnoticed by Ben, who almost laughed, "Tastes great, Aunt Vera." She lied. While Gwen was distracted Ben slid his jello dinner off his plate and onto Gwen's plate.

"Why, thank you Gwendolyn." She gazed over to Ben's plate, "Finished already, Benjamin?"

Gwen whipped her head to her cousins plate and found it empty and then narrowed her eyes at him. Ben smiled widely, "Yep, thanks aunt Vera." Gwen knew Ben didn't eat his food, but also didn't know where he put it until she gazed down at her plate to find not only her food, but Ben's aswell.

Ben smirked evilly, "Enjoy Gwendolyn." Ben remarked as Gwen threw him a glare, "Grandpa, mind if I go for a walk around the neighborhood?"

"Sure Ben, be back before the street lights come on." Max informed him as the brunette nodded. He grabbed his jacket and soon walked out the front door.

Ben stuffed his hands into his pockets, before he went walking down the sidewalk, "This sucks. Not only am I stuck at my Aunts place. I'm stuck in this old people's place! Typical Tennyson luck." As he talked to himself, he gazed off until he saw into a window and an old women hanging upside down on her roof. Her tongue extended grabbing a fly and soon eating it.

Ben's eyes went wide as he backed up slowly in not only shock, but a bit in disgust, "What is this place? Did the old people be exchanged for ninjas?" He spoke to himself before he caught a glimpse of his aunts neighbor. He remembered how rude he was and decided against his better judgment to follow him.

He followed the old man until he reached a fence. The old man in question gazed around before elongating his limbs and stepping over the gated fence. Ben's eyes widened in fear before watching the old man who immediately started shrinking, "Okay, it's official, I'm never going to become an old person. Let's see where he's going." He spun the dial on the watch as a green hologram of Big Chill appeared and slammed his hand onto the faceplate before becoming engulfed in a green light.

Ben's skin turned a violet, dark blue, and black color. He grew an additional third emerald eye above his nose. His hands turned into claws and his feet into talons with only three toes; two in the front and one in the back. His entire body was wrapped in an old raggedy dark blue cloak and hood with light blue spot patterns scattered around which then unfurrow and become his wings and antenna. His shoulders, chest, and thighs grew armor plating on them. The green and black hourglass badge appeared in the middle of his chest, "BIG CHILL!" His eerily ghostly voice erupted.

Big Chill turned intangible before racing through the fence to see the old man gazing around cautiously before getting into a golf cart and driving off. Big Chill sighed in annoyance as he unfurrowed his cloak revealing a large pair of moth like wings. He launched into the air and followed from above till he stopped infront of the community's dump. Marty took a large black bag and walked over to it. Big Chill's wings wrapped around himself as he was still intangible as he landed ontop of the golf cart.

He mentally kicked himself as he landed on it gaining the old man's attention. He squinted his eyes as he looked around before mumbling under his breath. The old man then shocked Big Chill yet again as he picked up the large dumpster with one hand revealing a trap door, 'A trap door? Where does that lead too?' His thoughts were soon interrupted as a loud beeping sound gained both the alien and the old man's attention, 'Son of a bi-' He thought as he timed out gaining the old man's attention, "Uh hi. I totally didn't see you elongate your limbs or lift up that dumpster."

'Nice going, Tennyson.' Ben thought. As the old man roared and dropped the bag and rushed him. Ben quickly hopped off the roof and into the drivers seat and sped off with the old man chasing him with his limbs elongated, "Attack of the crazy old people!" Ben yelled. As he swerved around as the old man hung from the roof tryna hit Ben until he raced onto a lawn with the sprinklers out and water spraying everywhere.

The old man hissed in fear of the water and jumped off. Ben sighed in relief before driving back to his Aunts place. Ben then turned his attention back to the watch, "Seriously, you couldn't pick a more convenient time to time out! I was almost killed back there! Great, now I'm yelling at my watch!" Ben sighed as he stopped behind his grandpa's RV in the stolen golf cart.

Max was standing on the porch of Vera's house and he wasn't happy. Ben got out the cart and walked towards him, "Ben, I told you to be back before the streetlights come on!"

"I know, grandpa, but I was attacked by Vera's neighbor! He's insanely creepy. He was able to stretch out his limbs and lift a dumpster with one hand. Something is happening here, grandpa and there's something wrong with the old people here." Ben answered as Max stroked his chin at Ben's explanation then pointed to the stolen golf cart.

"And care to explain that?"

"Uh, I followed him as Big Chill and seven minutes later I time out. He sees and tried to attack me. I stole his golf cart to escape." Ben replied sheepishly, "I think we should investigate his house, grandpa."

Max gazed at his grandson. He didn't seem to be lying, he soon sighed as he nodded, "Let me grab something from the Rust Bucket." Ben nodded as the old man walked over to the RV and a couple minutes later he came back out with a toolbelt.

"What's that for?" Ben asked as they walked over to Marty's house. Where Max pulled out a thin tinsel and started picking the lock, "You know how to pick a lock? Where'd you learn that?"

"When you've been a Plumber for as long as I have, you pick up a thing or two." As he said that they heard the lock on the other side click. Ben widened his eyes in amazement as Max opened the door.

The two Tennyson men walked inside with Max turning on a flashlight. They gazed around not seeing anything out of the ordinary. Ben had to plug his nose because old people's houses always smelt weird to him, "You see anything weird grandpa?"

"Nothing. Maybe you were exaggerating Ben. I don't see anything." Max reasoned.

"I'm sure. I know something is wrong here." He replied as they left his house and went back to Vera's.

"If you're so sure we'll keep investigating in the morning." Max replied stifling a yawn.

"Okay grandpa. Good night." Ben walked into Vera's house while Max went to the RV.

Ben flopped onto the couch to see Gwen on her phone, "Any signal?"

"Nothing." She sighed, "Where'd you and grandpa go?"

Ben soon explained everything that transpired earlier that evening. From going on a walk to following that weirdo Marty, turning into Big Chill and then timing out. Marty attacking him, and him escaping in a golf cart. Then him and grandpa exploring Marty's house.

"I don't know, Gwen. There's definitely something wrong here." Ben replied firmly.

Gwen started thinking hard, "Did you guys find anything in his house." Ben shook his head no, "Well we'll have to find something in the morning."

Unbeknownst to the two cousins something slipped under the front door and slimed it's way to Vera's room. It soon towered over Vera's sleeping form and grabbed her. Ben and Gwen were watching some old movie on Vera's tv before falling asleep. Ben yawned before taking his jacket off and kicking his shoes off as well joinning his cousin as sleep consumed him.

As the Sun started rising, Max Tennyson grinned happily, "Ah, nothing like an early morning jog to get the blood flowing." Max soon went jogging down the neighborhood unbeknownst to him something was watching him. It waited till he jogged a few more blocks before kidnapping him.

Ben yawned loudly before rubbing the sleep out of his eyes to see his cousin also waking up, "Morning."

"Morning." Gwen mumbled walking into the kitchen grabbing a cup of water and drinking it. Ben soon walked in aswell. Not long later Vera came out acting very strange.

"Good morning, Aunt Vera." Ben greeted.

"Good morning, Ben, Gwen." Vera said a bit monotone.

Ben and Gwen gazed at each other weirdly, "Aunt Vera is something wrong?"

"No, Gwen. Everything is okay." She replied back.

"Would you like a drink?" Gwen asked as she turned on the facet and water soon filled the cup as she gestured it towards Vera who reached for it when Gwen accidentally dropped it. Spilling the water on the ground and shattering the cup.

Vera freaked out immediately as she did, she managed to do a perfect split onto the cabinets, "CLEAN IT UP! RIGHT NOW!" She yelled. Ben and Gwen went eye wided before gazing at each other.

"Okay." Gwen quickly got a napkin and cleaned up the water while picking up the glass shards, "Sorry Aunt Vera."

"It's okay, Gwen. Try not to do that next time." Aunt Vera replied walking to her room.

Ben grabbed his cousins arm and pulled her to the side, "That's not Vera."

"I'm sure that's not her either." Gwen answered.

"We have to find the real Vera and fast."

"Got any leads on where she could be?" Gwen asked as Ben placed his hand onto his chin.

An idea soon popped into his head, "When I followed Marty yesterday, there was a trap door underneath the dumpster. Let's start there." There conversation was soon cut short by the front door being opened revealing Grandpa Max.

"Grandpa, there's something wrong! Vera, she's acting a lot differently then yesterday." Gwen answered.

"There's nothing wrong, Vera's fine." This immediately caught Ben's attention. He grabbed Gwen's forearm pulling her behind him.

"Ben?"

"That's not grandpa Max." He replied as the 'Max' standing there grinned as his sharp teeth revealed, "What have you done to our Grandpa and Aunt!"

"Nothing yet, but it won't matter you'll be joining them soon enough." The imposter soon rushed forward as Ben and Gwen jumped away as it crashed into a wall. Ben was turning the dial onto the watch as a hologram filled it's place. He slammed his hand onto the watch as the living room was engulfed in a blinding emerald light.

Ben felt like he was deevolving, he started growing blue fur all over his body. He blinked his eyes as he grew four extra eyes, his ears pointed out, and his teeth grew into fangs with a lone line running directly from his lower lip running downwards unto his chin. The bones in his two arms split into four arms with three fingers one each hand. A tail sprouted out from his butt. Fur covered his forearms, his body, his neck, and face, as two black circular bands were wrapped around all four arms. The green and black hourglass badge appeared on his chest, "SPIDERMONKEY!" He screeched loudly.

'Max' got up from the wall as he raced forward, but SpiderMonkey was faster and grabbed his arm before judo flipping him onto his back, "We gotta get outta here, Gwen!" He soon grabbed his cousin and smashing through Vera's large living room window. This caught the attention of all the people around. Knowing they were caught they soon raced after the alien animal hybrid and his cousin. SpiderMonkey punched an old man in the face before gazing over at the golf cart that was still behind the RV.

"Gwen make a run for the golf cart. I'll be right behind you." She nodded firmly as she took off running towards the small cart. As a ringing sensation echoed inside his head, he leaped upwards dodging the punch, before wrapping his tail around the elderly women's throat. He landed on the ground behind her and threw her into an approaching couple. Another ringing sensation buzzed in his head as he lifted up both of his left arms and blocked the punch. He held the arm's tightly before punching the old man in the chest.

Gwen had back the cart up and soon raced past the RV before honking the small horn. SpiderMonkey gazed over his shoulder before catching sight of his waiting cousin. The alien monkey webbed his grandpa's RV and tugging on the web. He sling shotted himself into the air before webbing the roof of the cart. The horde of old people soon started running towards the cart. SpiderMonkey tugged on the web before landing on the roof where he yelled, "DRIVE!"

Gwen didn't waste a single second as she floored the small cart and took off down the street before noticing the mob of old people chasing after them. Before he knew it his spider sense flared in his head, he turned around in the knick of time to see one of the old people leap at him. SpiderMonkey was ready as he cocked both right arms back and knew they weren't really people, so he didn't need to hold back. As he got closer, both of SpiderMonkey's right arms flew out and hit the old man hard. If he was a human it would have shattered his skull, but it wasn't, Ben had no idea what he was dealing with as he fist punched straight through the man's or it's face. Whatever it was landed in the street before he heard Gwen's voice.

"Ben, where are we going?!" She asked concerned.

"The dump! It's our only lea-" His sentence was cut off as his spider sense flared again. He dodged a punch from an old women who elongated her fist. SpiderMonkey gripped onto her arm and yanked her forward where he punched her back into the street.

"Ben, are you okay up there?" Gwen asked a bit worried for him.

"Yeah, focus on getting us out of here." SpiderMonkey answered.

The next ten minutes were spent with Gwen trying to get them to the dump while SpiderMonkey protected the both of them. The golf cart finally stopped as Gwen made a run for the large dumpster with SpiderMonkey backflipping off the roof as an old man landed on it. SpiderMonkey's spider sense blared to life as he leaped onto the side of a wall near the entrance to the dump.

SpiderMonkey soon webbed his face before launching over to his cousin as her back hit the brick wall. The entrance was filled with old people in a matter of second's with the Vera, Max, and Marty imposters standing at the front.

"Where do you think you're going?" 'Vera' asked.

"What now, genius?" Gwen asked SpiderMonkey who grinned.

"We improvise." He soon raced over to the large dumpster before lifting it with all his strength and throwing it towards the mob of imposters. SpiderMonkey soon looked down at the trap door before grabbing the handles and tearing locks off with his strength. The double doors bursted upwards.

"I don't wanna go down there." Gwen replied.

"We can either go down there or you can stay with up here with them." He cocked his hand backwards to see the imposters launch over the dumpster. Gwen didn't even think about what to do as she hopped onto SpiderMonkey's back before he dived straight into the trap door.

The alien monkey and Gwen landed inside a cave. SpiderMonkey flipped onto his hands and feet with Gwen holding on tightly. SpiderMonkey gazed upwards before seeing the imposters smirking evilly. He immediately took off down the dark tunnel for who knows how long. Gwen tightened her grip on his fur making him groan in pain.

"Too tight, Gwen." SpiderMonkey replied.

"Oh, sorry." Gwen answered as her grip on his fur loosened, "Where are we?"

"Looks like some underground cavern. Whatever we're dealing with we'll be able to find grandpa, aunt Vera, and everyone else." SpiderMonkey answered as the journeyed deeper into the tunnels when two tunnels appeared at the end.

Gwen hopped off his back and gazed at the two entry ways and looked back at her cousin, "Now which way do we go?"

SpiderMonkey was about to answer when his spider sense flared. A pair of elongated arms reached out towards Gwen when SpiderMonkey grabbed them and tossed them over his shoulders. The person collided with the corner of the entrance as a dust cloud kicked up. The person got up and hissed in anger revealing their imposter grandfather, but his left eye was damaged and replaced with a light green in color.

SpiderMonkey stood infront of Gwen protectively, before racing forward as did 'Max'. The two aliens traded blows with SpiderMonkey holding the advantage in terms of strength and agility especially with him relying on his spider sense. It soon blared to life as SpiderMonkey leaped over it before kicking him in the back. Max slid against the ground before repairing his eye and looking at Ben.

"You wouldn't hurt your dear old grandpa, would you?" It replied as SpiderMonkey hesitated before remembering that's not his grandfather.

His tail shoot out webs hitting him in the face blinding him. Before leaping upwards and punching him hard. The imposter hit the other side of the cave wall hard before large rocks collided ontop of him. He soon raced over to Gwen, "Hop on! I don't know how much longer I have before I change back, but we gotta get outta here before more show up."

Gwen nodded firmly, "Let's go save, grandpa." She hopped onto his back as the small alien went left at full speed. As the two went deeper the caves colors started changing from grey rocks to crimson red. The two were so intranced that they didn't hear the loud beeping sound coming from the badge on his chest. SpiderMonkey and Gwen were soon engulfed in a red light as Ben was lying flat on his stomach with Gwen on his back.

Gwen soon got up, "Sorry Ben."

"Don't worry, I'm fine." Ben stretched as he looked around, "Kinda surprised it didn't time out sooner. I was Big Chill for five minutes and it timed out. Now it timed out at twenty minutes, so no need to worry. Let's find everyone."

The two heroes went deeper into the weird cave, but they weren't alone as large green pods with yellow dots on them started litering the area. Ben and Gwen glanced at each other.

"What are these things?" Gwen asked poking it.

"No idea." Ben walked over to one and gazed into it deeply before seeing who was inside it. His eyes widened in fear before immediately tearing the pod open, "GRANDPA!" That grabbed Gwen's attention as she ran towards Ben and helped claw the pod open as Max slithered out of it.

"Grandpa, are you alright?" Gwen asked hugging the old man.

"I feel a mild headache, but nothing else." Max responded rubbing his head. Ben too joined the hug smiling.

"We missed you, grandpa." Max smiled hugging his grandkids.

"Thanks for finding me." He replied before looking around, "Where are we?"

"In a cave system below the retirement community. We're hoping that this way leads to some larger part of the cavern." Gwen answered.

"Right then. Let's go." Max urged as the two cousins nodded before going deeper into the cave when noticing the pods growing rapidly in numbers, "What are those things?"

"There pods filled with the old people who live here. Whoever is doing this is gonna pay big time." Ben answered as they got to the end of the cave and spotted a large purple and red ship and more pods litered the area.

"Is that an alien space ship?" Gwen asked in astonishment.

Max stayed silent as they got closer to the ship to see transfluid aliens with red eyes and sharp pointed teeth. In the stomachs were dark shades of pink flesh. They were loading the pods into the ship's.

"What are they doing?" Ben asked.

"They seem to be loading the pods onto their ship. What are they?" Gwen answered.

"They're Limax." Max blurted out gaining both teenagers attentions.

"Li-what?" Ben asked raising an eyebrow at his grandfather.

"Their shapeshifters they take on the appearance of anyone." Max answered.

"And how do you know this?" Gwen asked.

"It's a long story, but we need to stop them." Max stated as both nodded firmly. Ben stood up and walked towards them.

"Hey freak-a-zoids!" Ben yelled gaining the Limax attention, "I got something you can eat." Ben spun the dial as a hologram appeared, "Why not chew on a-" He slammed his hand onto the dial and was engulfed in a blinding emerald light.

Ben's body started resembling a dark red and black large crab. His hands turned into pincers with white bands wrapped around them. He grew six crab like legs with a large head that opened up to reveal his brain. On both shoulders were two metallic circular bolts. Under his large emerald eyes were two smaller eyes with a large mouth revealing his teeth. On his body was a grey waistband with the green and black hourglass badge reappearing there, "BRAINSTORM!" The large crab alien exclaimed.

"Hm, seems my intelligence has tripled, well dealing with something that clearly isn't as smart or smarter than myself shall get a taste of my sharp intellectual mind." Brainstorm inquired as the Limax soon rushed him.

"Have at thee!" His large dome on his head split open revealing the pink flesh of his brain with a few metallic bolts attacked to the top. Bolts of lightning flickered as they shot out of his brain. The Limax dropped dodging the bolts of lightning, "Seems my electrokinesis appears to have no effect on them." Brainstorm dodged a punch from the Limax, "With my vast intellect, I should be able to outsmart them." Brainstorm replied.

"You'll never be able to beat us!" They inquired as Brainstorm gave them a metaphorical look.

"Oh, spare me the evil bad guy monologue. Please. It's beneath you." Brainstorm gasped as he shot more bolts of lightning from his brain as it passed through their body's harmlessly.

"Your little bolts of lightning can't harm us!" Limax spoke as it slammed into the ground.

"Seems not, but I have nine other coharts who'll be able to put a dent in your suit of armor." Brainstorm slammed his clawed hand onto the badge as he was engulfed into another emerald light.

From below the ground vines shot outwards wrapping around his body tightly. His feet soon took the appearance as roots, his hands up to his forearm were changed into a fiery orange yellowish color, his face was wrapped tightly in the vines as his eyes turned pure green, with his hair taking on the appearance of fire, orange in the back, yellow in the middle and red in the front. Orange yellowish leaves littered his shoulders with thorns from the vines covering his shoulders. The watches green and black hourglass faceplate appeared in the form of a badge which was wrapped tightly in the vines on his chest, "SWAMPFIRE!" The alien erupted as his mask wrapped around his mouth tightly.

"Let's turn up the heat, shall we?" Swampfire replied snarkly as he blasted out a torrent of flames from his palms engulfing the Limax in it.

Gwen and Max watched from afar as Swampfire thought he burnt them to a crisp. When they towered over him wrapping him in their arms, "You wretched fool, Limax live for the heat! Why do you think we moved here during the summer!"

"Okay, not one of my best choices." Swampfire exclaimed as he tried to avoid being absorbed by them. When Gwen raced over to him a thought occurred.

"Ben if they live for the heat! What else could be their weakness?" Gwen yelled.

Swampfire's eyes widened, "Water!"

"Exactly, like when I dropped the cup and water split all over the floor." Gwen responded.

"And the golf cart with Marty!" Swampfire grinned behind his mask as he tried to reach for his badge.

"You can't stop us!" Limax roared.

"Maybe not Swampfire, but I know someone can." He tapped the badge and was engulfed in another emerald light.

Swampfire's skin turned a violet, dark blue, and black color.

His body turned transparent before phasing through the Limax's grip on him, "You guys just need to chill out!" His eerie voice replied before a large blast of ice hit the Limax in the chest. It shrieked in pain before more blasts was sent hitting it hard.

Big Chill flew around the large alien freezing it to death, seeing parts of its body freeze and break apart, "It's over!" Big Chill erupted before he froze the Limax's head as the large body fell over and shattered into pieces. Big Chill turned his attention to the ship before phasing through it and with the help of Max and Gwen they got the pods off the ship before Big Chill froze it solid.

"See you guys in the ice age." Big Chill retorted before his wings and antenna wrapped around his body. The badge on his chest started beeping loudly before he reverted back to normal, "Whew, I must have drained it having to switch not once, but twice."

"Let's free the others quickly." Gwen responded making the two men nod.

With everyone freed from their confinement, Ben, Gwen, and Max realized some people were missing and chalked it up to the Limax having eaten them. Ben and Gwen were saddened to hear such news, but perked up knowing they prevented others from having to experience such things.

Vera stood on her porch hugging Max tightly, "You should tell them you know. The longer you delay it the worse it's going to get."

Max sighed, "You're right." He gazed at his grandkids loading up the RV.

"You need to tell them soon." Vera answered, "Take care Maxie."

"You too Vera." Max hugged his sister one last time before making his way to the Rust Bucket.

Ben and Gwen came over to Vera before hugging her tightly, "We'll see you soon Aunt Vera." Gwen smiled.

"Yeah." Ben replied.

"You two take care. And I'll see you soon." Vera kissed both of them on their foreheads before they walked into the RV. Ben waved goodbye one last time before shutting the door. The Rust bucket roared to life before pulling away from Vera's house who was waving happily.

Ben, Gwen, and Max were soon back on the road to their next destination. Ben gazed out the window at his fading pink hair before scowling, "What's wrong, Ben?" Gwen asked.

"My hair is still pink!" He erupted as Gwen snickered, "It's not funny."

"I do believe it is." Gwen laughed as Ben sighed in annoyance.

Max gazed into his rearview mirror before taking in his teenage grandkids. He had a hurt look on his face as he shook it off before continuing putting his eyes towards the road, 'I can't tell them. Not yet.' But his secret will soon be revealed whether he told them or not.
