"Something's going on in here…"

Zero Two's eyes squinted as she saw the Heavenly Cloud Fragments fly into the sky and disappear, something that had never happened before, as the Heavens were destroyed.

But now, some strange, invisible force was pulling them back to where they came from, instead of leaving them anywhere floating around.

The same thing might be happening all around the world; the heavens, fragmented into pieces, didn't truly disappear.

Although the robots took many for themselves, it didn't mean that there weren't many fragments that sank underwater.

Zero Two looked around, noticing several colorful clouds emerging from the seas and flying into the skies.

FLAAASH!

At the same time as several rivers of golden light and dark shadows flowed through the skies, as if the world itself had veins of its own.

"Ah! They're too far away!"

Zero Two ended up losing her focus on the situation, as she quickly glanced where her sister and the rest of their team were located.

She didn't have the opportunity to look at the clouds!

"Sister! Why did you leave me behind?!"

After that, she quickly called her sister, who was already within a fierce battle herself. While being helped by Anna's Draconic Herculean Undead Machines, she battled several larger, fused chimeric machines.

These machines were formed through the combination of dozens of machines together, sharing their cores and strengthening themselves to reach new heights. When they realized that even as armies they wouldn't be able to defeat their foes, machines decided to combine to reach higher power levels.

Zero Two could only see them from afar, but they seemed manageable, at the very least, until she noticed something weird. Strange, star-shaped robots of silver metal flew around as they released electromagnetic energies, dragging already combined chimera robots to merge with them into even larger beings.

"What the hell is going on over there?"

"I'm very sorry, Zero Two! We're having plenty of problems around here! Anna and her group of Venerables are cleaning up the biggest threats, but the rest of the machine army is still incredibly powerful!"

Zero One quickly answered her sister through their communication devices, although she seemed to be very busy and was unable to properly respond more than that, focusing everything on the fights.

"Ah, dammit! Okay, I'm on my way!" Zero Two said. "No, wait! Sister, there's something weird going on over there, right below you! Hey!"

However, the only thing she saw after she talked to her were explosions spreading through the skies, and then something massive emerging amidst the clouds of smoke.

RUMBLE!

A titan made of steel, composed of almost a hundred smaller robots merged together! It quickly attacked her sister, pushing her back constantly.

"Zero One!"

Zero Two panicked, about to reach her, only for another of such titans to suddenly emerge from the sea beneath!

SPLASH!

As it flew into the skies, its massive metallic claws almost caught her, if it wasn't because Zero Two kicked the empty air and released an electrifying explosion of energies.

CLANK!

The giant metallic hand closed, releasing a loud metallic sound that reverberated across the skies; even sparks were generated; each hand was probably as heavy as hundreds of tons.

"ELIMINATE ALL DEFECTIVE MACHINES."

The robot spoke with a single voice despite being made of many; Zero Two's eyebrows twitched as she glanced at that thing rushing towards her. Well, it didn't even need to rush towards her; it was simply so huge that by extending its arms, it could reach her.

"Defective?! I am not defective, jackass!"

Zero Two's sharp tongue only made the machine she battled feel more justified than anything, as it fired dozens of tracking missiles at her and also laser beams.

"Dammit!"

She swung her giant blade down, unleashing her techniques once more, as her entire body started overflowing with electromagnetic energies.

"[Machine Blade Arts]: {Thunderous Guillotine}!"

Her massive sword absorbed all her armor nanomachines, becoming as huge as thirty meters in height. As she swung it down, the missiles and lasers were instantly destroyed with a fell swoop.

But that wasn't all; as she swung the sword downwards, a powerful guillotine-like aura of crimson thunder impacted the robot's head, splitting it in half and reaching its chest!

CRAAASH!

"G-GAAAGH…! E-ERROR…!"

The robot started convulsing and seemed to be in some sort of pain; however, its arms quickly moved towards Zero One, punching her twice.

BAAM! BAAM!

"Ugh!"

The two punches broke through some of her skin-tight protective suit while her internal circuits were shaken a lot; her internal energies escaped through small cracks covering her skin as she was sent flying away.

"Dammit!"

She glared from a distance, noticing the robot quickly tried to regenerate its lost parts, the head and the shoulders, with new, smaller robots that flew towards it.

"So it can even regenerate like this…?!" She thought. "Wait…!"

She quickly recalled something, though, when she saw that star-shaped robot using powerful electromagnetic energies to assemble all other robots around it.

"There must be a Core Robot inside of that thing… As long as I can eliminate it, it should crumble!"

The problem now was… Where could this Core Robot be located? The chest didn't seem to be the case; she had already struck that part.

Could it be that the Core Robot constantly moved around the body so as not to be easily spotted? If the Machines had already designed such an advanced and cunning model, then… there was little hope!

"Let's trust that they still aren't as overly cautious… After all, if machines have a flaw, I will say that's their overconfidence!"

Zero Two knew this firsthand; as a machine herself, she knew that she had once been foolishly overconfident too.

And well, there was also something else too.

"I won't let you regenerate anyway!"

She waved her hands upwards, as the nanomachines that composed the entire blade stuck inside the titan's rapidly began moving, turning into a swarm!

Her electromagnetic energies were transferred to it as threads made of electricity flew towards all the nanomachines.

"While my sister was designed as a pacifist robot, I was always made for war."

And then…

"[Machine Blade Arts]: {One Hundred Lightning Blades}!"

FLAAASH!

The nanomachines quickly merged into one hundred smaller blades, slicing, cleaving, cutting, and electrocuting the robot from the inside out, beginning to tear apart its internal wires, circuits, and more with ease.

CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!

"E-ERROR…!"

The titan quickly struggled, as Zero Two felt strange flows of electricity across its body, especially the torso area! It seemed something large was moving around, wielding electromagnetic energies to keep the robots merged together.

"I found you!"

She quickly reached the robot, evading missiles, laser beams, and giant metallic hands, while quickly calling back half her nanomachines, shaping them into a long black and red spear.

"You're not getting away from my grasp!"

She fired the spear towards the robot, as it easily pierced through metal, releasing an explosion of crimson lightning that quickly blew up several of the robots composing it.

BOOOOMM!!

As the spear pierced through the robot and emerged from the back, there was a huge, star-shaped machine that had been impaled, wires and sparks of electricity coming out of its damaged body.

"Y-You… found me…?!

"Did you think you would fool me?"

Zero Two looked at the machine with a merciless and cold expression, her red eyes glowing brightly, as she closed her fists.

The nanomachine-made spear quickly turned once more into machines, which then transformed into daggers, slicing and cleaving their way out of the star-shaped robot, making it explode into pieces.

CRAAASH!

As the robot died, the rest of the machines making up the titan quickly fell from the skies, most of them paralyzed or with their circuits fried after the overload of information and electricity.

"So if I understand things well, the star-shaped robots are Cores, and without them the entire titans fall apart, with most of the robots making them die in the process!" Zero Two began thinking, rushing to where her sister was. "Do they die because the overload of energy and data ends up frying their circuits?"

Whatever the case was, Zero Two felt proud to have found a weakness! She reached her sister, finding her being attacked by four titans at once! Zero One had already transformed into her Golden Soul Form and had tremendous power.

And yet, she had only managed to slice through several arms and legs, but the robots simply kept regrowing new ones. Whenever she tried to get to the torso, the missiles and laser beams would keep her away.

The worst part was that they had willingly separated them, ganging up on Zero One as a priority, surrounding her from all sides, while two other titans attacked the rest of the team, who were handling things not too badly.

Wai Tian, Yin Sheng, Sara, the Immortals, and the rest of Anna's Familiars, including her Draconic Herculean Undead Machines and her Monster Familiars, were holding back the two titans, and even if a third appeared, Zero Two was confident they could handle it.

"Sister! I have to save her first!"
