Elio looked at her but still kept quiet, looking expressionless, but in his heart he wasn't as calm as he looked, he could feel his heart skip a beat but soon it went back to normal, he had been experiencing it for a while now but his emotion aren't as they use to be, it seems suppressed some how, like its been locked, it wasn't that he couldn't feel but it wasn't to the extent it was before, it was like one moment it was there and the next it wasn't, it felt wrong, like the feeling was carved out of him and thrown away, he was a little worried but even that feeling soon vanished leaving behind a blankness.
Rin seeing his blank face fell, into an awkward silence, and so the cave was enveloped in awkward silence, and the darkness wasn't making it any better, they waited in the silence until it was night time before making their move.
They traveled at a speed that was impossible to humans even with horses.
"well welcome to Bedford, home of the baroness, let's head into town and find a place to hide, before the sun rises" Rin said jumping over the wall.
"well are coming " she called out when she felt he wasn't following her.
Elio head her and with a light tap of his feet on the ground he was already over the wall.
" showoff" Rin muttered before shooting further into town, and Eli chased her from behind. Moving through the alley Eli saw that all of the buildings they saw was made of brick, the roads had bricks laid out on them, even though it was still early in the morning, and the sun hasn't even started to peek he still noticed humans with torches in hand moving about, the flame danced to the direction of the wind, but there was a group of shadowy figure which he assumes are kin of Rin patrolling the area.
Rin leading the way noticed Elio, looking at the shadowy figures cloaked in cloaks, and explained.
"this area is run by the barroness, and the blood kin are spread in this area to keep others out, I heard long ago before I joined it was chaos, blood kin moved about feeding of every human they could sink their teeth on, soon word got to the Lord of Bedford, and he with forces of the church in toe nearly wiped out every blood kin in Bedford, but after that the baroness came layed out rules and code we live by she made a deal with the ruler of Bedford an ambitious man who wants to be a king, we would lend our aid in time of need, and keep the territory safe, and in turn we get every criminals in the territory, he agreed exterminating us he would need a great deal of man power plus we ain't that easy to deal with, plus every one of us is a fighting force where as he has a territory full of helpless humans, so our coexistence came to be, and that is what you are seeing" Rin said walking deeper into the alley, soon they came upon a mansion with all it windows sealed shut, which was a weird sight given that where they were was the slums of Bedford.
"here we are I brought you to the baroness just like I said I would " Rin said pointing grandly at the mansion.
Walking to the door of the mansion he was stopped by two blood kin standing as guard, he opened his mouth to speak but Rin beat him to it, motioning the two guards to the side she fished her water pouch and handed it to them, the water pouch was filled with blood he could smell it whifting off it, grinning the guard let them pass through.
"come I told you I would take you to the baroness, here we go" she said wearing a goofy grin.
They had just stepped into the mansion before they were surrounded by blood kin, and a beautiful woman with blonde hair, Scarlett eyes, and a lip so red that it felt like it was smelled with blood, till it turned purple.
"Rin, what have you brought into my home" the baroness asked, Rin and the other blood kin might not be able to tell what the smell wafting of Eli was, but she could, she had live long enough to know, the smell of burning iron, a demon, and that wasn't all the other smell gave her an uncomfortable feeling it was pure a smell she couldn't put into words, but she had smelled it before in a church, so she knew he was dangerous.
"leave, I would give you a chance to walk out the door your self " she said her followers pulling out blades.
" wait we..... " Rin tried to explain but couldn't, she was cut off by frigid Aura, it felt as if the air was thicker, so thick it felt like mud.
" you would there raise arms in front of me"
