Chapter Six
"Who said you can't do anything?"
He gripped her arms tightly and told her, word by word, "The most important thing you need to do now is wait. Wait until she recovers, until the day she's able to come forward and testify. Trust me, no matter how he tries to defend himself, he won't escape justice."
As long as he committed that crime, it's impossible to keep it hidden forever.
The truth always comes out, and all sins will eventually be exposed.
"But what if she never recovers?"
Sofia asked sadly, unable to stop herself from glancing at the woman.
The woman still hadn't regained clarity, her mind remained clouded. How long would it take for her to come forward and testify for herself?
"She will recover."
He lifted the corners of his mouth, attempting to offer her some comfort and encouragement. "We've already found the best doctors and organized comprehensive treatment. Her problem is that her inner demons run too deep. As soon as she resolves them, she'll heal."
