"Are you sure that if I stay for dinner with him today, you'll accept Aurelia again?" Kevin Gregory seemed to have found a glimmer of hope. If he could gain his mother's acceptance of Aurelia, it would be quite worth it.
Mrs. Gregory raised an eyebrow, "I'm sure, but the question is, can you do it?"
"Deal! You can't go back on your word." Kevin Gregory curled his lips into a smile.
Mrs. Gregory smiled contently, "No going back."
"Alright, then, I'll come back in the evening." Kevin Gregory said, still intending to leave.
"Wait a moment."
Mrs. Gregory called out, looking at her son. She paused for a moment before speaking, "If you really think Aurelia Wood is that good and worth your affection, I can give you a chance. If in seven days, before I leave here, she manages to satisfy me, I will agree to you being together. But if she can't, you must promise me never to contact her again in the future."
