After a brief, three-second daze, Nia Mitchell regained her senses and began to struggle.
Sensing the resistance from the small woman beneath him, Maxwell Peary's expression darkened further, and he pressed his lips harder against hers.

Finally getting a chance to speak, Nia Mitchell's soft voice was laden with fury.
