Maxwell Peary knitted his brows, obviously not wanting to recall the events at Madgar Pavilion that evening.
"Young Master." Just then, a servant brought up a plate of noodles.
Maxwell Peary nodded. He was starving and started eating without uttering a word.
Nia Mitchell continued eating fruit on the other side.
"Young Master, Miss Anne Davidson is on the phone."
The phone in the living room suddenly rang. The butler answered, hesitated for a moment, but eventually passed it over.
Maxwell Peary paused in his eating, evidently startled by Anne's call.
So he took the call.
"Hello?"
Nia also stopped eating fruit and pricked up her ears.
"Young Master Peary, guess where I am now?"
On the other end of the phone, Anne's voice was full of vitality, as if she had unlimited energy.
"I don't know."
