"Mom?"
When Alan's mother came over holding Gerry Peary, she saw the scene.
Her heart suddenly lurched with panic. Could something have happened to Alan Morgan?
She looked up, trying to see the situation inside the Intensive Care Unit, but found the curtains had been drawn from the inside, and she couldn't see anything.
Seeing this, Alan's mother immediately rushed over.
"What happened to Alan? Speak!"
Alan's mother looked anxiously at Shirley Grant, but could only see Shirley sitting there, looking utterly lost.
"Mom, Mom."
Gerry Peary rushed over. He had never seen his mother in such a state before, and seeing her like this now, he was very scared.
Seeing Gerry Peary like this, even as dazed as Shirley was, she still managed to open her eyes at once.
"Gerry Peary?"
Shirley's lips were dry and cracked, a heart-wrenching sight.
"Mom, don't scare me."
Gerry Peary suddenly burst into tears. He used to see his mom like this when he was very sick.
