Maxwell Peary could hardly believe his ears. Nia Mitchell had actually met with Edbert Nia Mitchell again?
"Who did you say you're with?"
Maxwell Peary was furious. The tension in the entire Office Room was so heavy it made it almost impossible to breathe.
"Edbert... Edbert Nia Mitchell."
Nia swallowed. She couldn't believe that just the name Edbert Nia Mitchell could cause such a huge reaction from Maxwell.
She couldn't even imagine the kind of storm Maxwell would unleash if she decided to return to work for Star Media.
"I just..."
BEEP.
"Hello? Hello? Uncle?"
On the other end, Maxwell Peary had simply hung up. Nia's mouth twitched as she looked at her phone, the call already disconnected.
"What happened?"
Edbert Nia Mitchell asked, though he already knew. Seeing Nia's expression, he could tell Maxwell was angry.
"Nothing."
So petty.
Nia grumbled silently, but she didn't reveal too much to Edbert Nia Mitchell. After all, this matter was between her and Maxwell.
