"Yeah." Molly Harguez felt a little unsure. Had she said too much? Isn't Young Master Peary supposed to be incredibly wealthy?

She certainly didn't want to let someone like Molly Harguez benefit. Besides, what kind of good life had she ever enjoyed in her childhood? She had left the Mitchell household precisely because of Molly's aggressive and overbearing behavior. Such a materialistic person simply didn't deserve to be a mother.
Maxwell Peary looked down at Nia, strongly disapproving of what she said.
"How can you say such a thing?" With a helpless expression, Maxwell Peary indulgently reached out to stroke her hair. "Even if she has done many wrongs, you can't act like this."
Maxwell Peary didn't want Nia to be saddled with such a bad reputation. If one million could solve their problems, he wouldn't mind at all.
