Vera Wave grabbed one of his shirts to wrap around herself. "I'm going to set up the Conference Hall."
They had been busy around the clock these past few days, and Kris Cooper had almost overlooked this. He stretched out lazily.
"I'll drive you."
"No need!" Vera rested her hands on his shoulders. "I can take a taxi."
He hadn't been home for several days; she didn't even need to think to know how hectic it had been. He'd finally gotten a chance to sleep in, and she didn't want him to go to any more trouble for her.
"Shut up!" Seeing him about to speak again, she raised her small hand and pinched his lips, saying fiercely, "A good husband listens to his wife. Do you dare to disobey?"
He narrowed his eyes and shrugged. "Have Mrs. Feng prepare you breakfast, then you can take a taxi."
