Ding dong!
The door was knocked, then came a cute little girl's voice.
"Ding dong, can I come in?"
Kris Cooper closed the documents in his hand, gathering the papers on the desk and putting them into the drawer.
"Manager Vera, please come in!"
The door opened, and Vera Wave walked in with her hands behind her back, inspecting the room like a supervisor, then walked to his side.
"What sneaky thing are you doing, are you flirting with other girls behind my back?!"
He raised his hand to pull her onto his lap, then extended a finger to help tidy her hair.
"Is Grandma asleep?"
"Mm."
She circled his neck with one arm and leaned her face against his, feeling that there was something hard on his chest. She straightened up and reached her small hand into his pocket, pulling out his wallet.
Originally intending to place it on the desk, she thought for a moment and then withdrew her hand to open it.
