Setting aside Vera's personal identity, both her image and current influence would bring vast attention to Ashton, while significantly cutting costs. From Ashton's perspective, this was absolutely a guaranteed profitable investment.
Everyone else got up and left the office, but Vera deliberately lingered behind. She only approached when just the two of them remained in the conference room.
