"No need, Mommy has money, thank you, Little Os."
"Why be so polite with me? Aren't we family?"
"Right, family doesn't need to be polite." Olivia Parker sniffled. "Where's Daddy?"
"I'm here!" Kasper Edith patted Little Os's head, stood up from the bed, signaled Oliver Palmer to take care of him, then turned off the speaker on his phone and walked out of the ward. "Olivia, are you okay?"
"I'm fine." Olivia gave a self-mocking little laugh. "I just… got a bit emotional."
Kasper Edith's lips lifted slightly. "I really never imagined you'd turn out to be Little Os's mother. No wonder you two clicked so well. Since that's the case, let Leah book your ticket. You can rest on the way, and when you arrive, I'll come pick you up."
Olivia's tone calmed down again. "I'll wrap things up here and head back to Bitterford. We'll meet in Bitterford."
"Okay, be careful on the way."
Kasper Edith hung up, turned around, and looked through the window at Osbert Montgomery inside the ward.
