The waist seems to have gotten a bit thicker.
Amelia Clarke noticed this while taking a bath at night, right after dinner. She thought it was because she was too full, making her stomach look big and her waist appear thicker. Now, there was a vague feeling of hunger, so it couldn't still be due to being too full.
"Owen, do you think I've gained weight?"
Without turning his head, Owen Moreland replied, "A little."
After a pause, he added, "You're too thin, gaining some weight is good."
Amelia Clarke stared at herself in the mirror, feeling that something seemed off, but she couldn't pinpoint what it was.
Returning to bed and lying back down, just on the edge of sleep, Amelia suddenly remembered an important issue, "Owen, do you remember the last time I had my period?"
