Li Chengyun bent down, pressing his face against hers and rubbing her cheek. His soft voice, however, revealed words that could make someone cry: "Do you know, deep down I was thinking, if something happened to you while giving birth to our son, well, I wouldn't have a reason to live either. I'd go with you."
Yu Jingrong listened, her eyes turning red: "Silly, Li Chengyun, you're such a smart person, how can you be so foolish sometimes? If you went with me, what about our son?"
She sniffled: "You shouldn't cry during recovery, or you might fall ill later. Don't upset me, and don't ever think that way again."
"It's my fault. You rest well." Li Chengyun sat up straight and smiled.
Yu Jingrong smiled along with him: "We're both doing well now, right?"
"Yes!" Li Chengyun kissed her forehead, his tenderness almost tangible.
"Bring our son over later, I want to see if he looks more like you or me?" Yu Jingrong brought up the question again.
