Margaret panics as Lilly suddenly collapses. She touched her skin and felt an extremely high temperature on it. It's almost as if she's touching fire. She quickly called her sister Madeline.
"Hey Maddie, we have a pretty big problem right now."
Margaret puts water on her skin and heard it sizzle as it made contact.
"Hurry up please! Your girlfriend is in danger!"
As she finished saying that the call ends and heard a glass breaking. She tried her best to keep her safe and then suddenly saw multiple werewolves around them. They seem to be on a hostile behavior. As one of them jumped in, Maggie kicks him and then another one tackles her from behind. She easily got back up and then she threw a glass shard at them in which it not only pierced through that guy's head it also hit the dude behind him.
This is caused by Maggie's ability, Zoom. It allows her to control the speed of whatever she touches. She can use it on herself but she cannot actually control herself that well if she's too fast. Basically she cannot see in Slow motion. With that said, she makes quick work of the rest of the wolves and Maddie also arrives at the perfect time.
"Is she okay? What happened here?"
Her wings haven't rescinded yet and she's also panting a bit hinting that she was in a hurry.
"She's very hot- I don't mean it like that! I mean her body temperature is hot. Then suddenly these werewolves around attacked us."
Maddie walked closer to Lilly and before touching her she used her ability to move the heat temporarily away from her.
"I can't remove the high temperature, it's generating inside of her and something else is with it hence why you got burned even though we have dragon scales. I'm not sure what this is but it is best if we head to the one who does."
Maddie flies away with Lilly and Maggie follows her. They head to the castle where they meet up with Ronnie on the balcony. It's only past 6 at the moment but the sky looks extremely dark already. That is probably due to the solstice.
"What happened to her?"
Ronnie asked very worried about her condition.
"She fainted all of the sudden and then her temperature was high."
Maggie responds but Ronnie looked confused as well. His expression made everyone around him even more worried. It's almost like Lilly caught an incurable disease.
"Mom!"
Ronnie yelled that sentence so loud so that his mother can actually hear him. He sounded like he was in pain so Valeria rushed towards them after hearing that.
"What's going on? What happened? Is anyone hurt?!"
She's starting to get paranoid and then saw Lilly unconscious in which she let out a scream. She was later filled in with the situation and her facial expression was way calmer.
"You should've told me from the start. She's only in heat, that's all. She's not suffering from anything fatal."
Maddie took a huge sigh of relief after hearing that but then came into realization.
"Wait, does that mean that every wolf would get attracted to her and she's horny as shit?"
Maggie was confused and surprisingly Ronnie is as well. Ronnie is also worried because he can't sense anything that Lilly is feeling and this only happened when she was in a coma.
"You would be correct. Although I wouldn't phrase it like that."
Valeria's calmness made the others a bit more calm as well. Maddie trusts Valeria as she definitely knows more about Lilly's condition than she does.
What happens afterwards is pretty simple. Valeria carried Lilly towards her room while they're outside it.
"So what happens now?"
Maggie asks as she's grown impatient though slightly worried as one would see.
"We'll just wait for her to wake up and look over her."
Maggie starts walking away after Valeria told her about that. Maddie stayed however to look after Lilly. Ronnie would've stayed however he was later on summoned by his father in his office. So Valeria and Maddie waited at the door for several hours until finally they heard something.
"Hello... What's happening? I feel hot like my body is burning."
Both Valeria and Maddie yelled out her name. While Maddie was worried, Valeria already knows what to do.
"We have to carry her to the Bathroom"
Maddie was confused but since she already knows that Valeria has probably experienced this, she just decided to agree. They carried her all the way to the bathroom. During that was happening, Lilly hugged Maddie tightly throughout the way and touched her in places one would find inappropriate. Another thing to note is that Lilly is releasing a scent that is extremely hard to resist for werewolves. It happens during one is in heat so that they can mate with their lovers. However since Lilly isn't marked, if she mates with anybody, she will die. Valeria had to resist the scent and it was so strong that even Maddie struggled to resist. Once they finally arrived they placed her in the bathtub and filled it with water. Normally if a werewolf was in heat, they would stay in the lake but since Lilly is vulnerable, she'll have to stay in the bathtub. The two stayed outside while Lilly has to resist the carnal temptation while she's in the tub. Valeria couldn't stay due to her duties so Maddie remained there even though she has duties. She couldn't care less as long as Lilly is safe.
"So how are you doing over there?"
Maddie asked about her condition so that she knows Lilly is alright.
"I'm fine, although I kinda want to cuddle with you right now."
"We both know that you want to do more than that at the moment."
"I hate to admit it but yes, I do want to do those things to you."
"It's alright, I understand. To be honest I'm tempted as well but I can't let that take over me for your own good."
"I just wished we can do it in a different situation."
"I'd like to think that you mean that even though I'm fully aware about your situation."
Lilly after hearing that felt confused and disappointed.
"I'm serious Madeline "
Maddie remained silent for a moment. She scratched the floor as she was thinking about the current situation.
"The good part about that is I had nothing to worry about."
"Good part? Maddie what are you talking about?"
"Truth be told I wasn't sure if you actually liked me or what. I thought that my mind was trying to ignore the fact that you might just be pressured to do anything and that you were only forced to like me. It turns out I had nothing to worry about. I was merely overthinking everything."
It remained silent for a moment. Both of them looked a bit dim and they can tell the other one is also expressing their face in a negative way even though the door is blocking them.
"Maybe I was. I... What I mean to say is... I did. While I was in a coma the goddesses were talking to me. I thought it's just my subconscious but as time goes on the more I started to believe in it. They were telling me about what will happen when I wake up and about..."
"About what?"
"About you Maddie."
"..."
"Everything felt forced at first like I was destined to marry someone I didn't even know and we'll as time went on I started to fall for you and realized why I was destined to be with you."
Maddie fell silent again. What Lilly said made her remember their first meeting. Lilly doesn't seem to remember it and Maddie doesn't want to talk about it either. It seems it's a bad remembrance to her for some reason.
"I'm glad I got this off my chest. Thank you Lilly."
"Same here, and I would like to touch your chests too."
"Oh you just ruined a perfectly good moment you know that!?"
Lilly laughed and then went silent afterwards. They eventually both fell asleep with Maddie being asleep in front of the bathroom door, someone had to notice. It was Valeria who came to check up on them. She decided to carry both of them and place them in a room together. This may seem weird as Lilly isn't marked and the fact that she's in heat could result into her dying if they're together. However, it seems she's noticed something. She left them alone and put a blanket on them. Their body reacted to one another and cuddled each other.
As the darkness of the night watched over them, the starry skies also entertained them. It gave them a symbol of peace and enjoyment while sleeping. Eventually the night fell and the morning rose. They both wake up at the same time. Both are in a daze and are confused how and why are they together in one room. It's when Maddie realized she can control herself around Lilly. Lilly also realized that she can resist her. At first it seemed to be a sign that they lost attraction to one another. Contrary to people's belief, it's actually a sign that they like each other more.
"You see, you two can now comprehend and finally know that you do love one another. Sexual desires have completely disappeared and only romantical thoughts have remained. I was thinking this would last for five days but because of your love you managed to get rid of it under a few hours."
At that point they concluded it was Valeria who did all of this as she's the one who seems to know a lot about this and the way she was talking. It was a perfectly good moment but alas.
"Why did you not gave me my pajama? I hate sleeping naked"
And of course, Lilly ruined it.
