I quickly moved on to Mertiana and signalled her to sit down until I realized this might be a little dangerous. She was releasing insane amounts of blood lust and I knew that she did not like me one bit. She didn't show her face but sat down with me facing her back, she removed her top and set it aside, I tried my best not to look because I did not want it to be any more awkward. I covered my palms with a slight amount of envelope energy so I wasn't touching her directly. I started injecting the last amounts of the blood energy I got from drinking the blood and circulated it.
I accelerated her blood flow so that it was reaching every corned of her body. In theory the blood energy seemed to be working similarly to my envelope but this was different at the same time. Then suddenly a huge burst of energy grew from her body and I had to extend my envelope energy to control her so that she didn't disturb Riot. I managed to spread envelope over a small area and her blood energy rampaged Inside that area and I was trapped as well until it subsided. Then suddenly it formed a ball and hit my forehead, I tried to protect myself with envelope energy which wasn't effective at all. It simply passed through.
I fell unconscious...
Or was I, I was elsewhere and yet I don't think I'd moved. Wait is this my subconscious?
It was an endless library spanning huge shelves in all directions with me at the centre while I was seated on a sofa and opposite me two figures sat as well. People whom I'd never met face to face. Legends of the olden demonic army whom someone had slain. Again, with the memory thing. Something wasn't right at all. I couldn't remember the name or the face.
Crescent and Dionesium looked exactly as they did in their portraits at the tavern though Crescent wasn't really wearing a shirt, he had enough fur to cover himself. Dionesium on the other hand wore a regal red costume and not gonna looked dashing. I definitely needed some fashion advice from him.
Wait how were they in my consciousness now? I looked around a bit more and the place slowly kept shifting to match my memories. Those of my previous life where I'd spent a small majority of it in the library, then slowly at the family common garden. As a shadowy figure came up to me and talked to me in a familiar manner but I couldn't make out what he was saying. I knew whoever this was, was a big part of my past life but something felt wrong.
Then it changed back, seated near a hearth were Dionesium and Crescent again. Crescent said "ah finally, managed to tune up properly to yer frequency. You must be confused as to why we are here and first lemme tell you this, I'm greatly thankful for helping out our descendants (Dionesium nods). I can see that you are not of this time completely either."
A huge pause after which Dionesium spoke "yes, sorry for him being like this, we are using the last bits of our energy we had at our organs to talk to you like this. The connection isn't completely solidified. Anyway, I know that you have studied our techniques and have taught our descendants the energy circulations and hope you will teach them our techniques as well."
Crescent came back to phase and said "yea so let us get to the point, we have managed to sustain our lives and our descendants but we're using our final lifeline to send you this. What you see isn't everything. Unfortunately or fortunately you have one of the sins near you. He will be of great help in your journey, lead the werewolves and vampires. They've not seen the outer worlds for a long time and will be unfamiliar with it. I ask that you bear with them. Also, as I mentioned, the sins are the key to defeating your enemy as hidden in the shadows. Theres a lot going on in the background which can't be revealed now nor will you understand it.
Remember this, the sins are NOT the enemy, the true enemy is hidden behind a veil and isn't fixed either. He has been slowly manipulating historical events to his liking. The history similar to the future isn't set in stone either."
Everything began to fade away, "the answer to all your questions are at the Origin peninsula but you aren't strong yet. Gather allies ..." Dionesium said a whole lot more but it all faded out into an echo as the whole scenery turned black and snapped back to my physical body.
In front of me both Riot and Mertiana stood dressed up. "how long was I out?" to which Riot held out his palm showing 5 fingers "5 minutes?" "5 days" Mertiana replied with obvious hate.
I was the shirtless one now but I saw that my envelope had grown some more and it had appeared to change properties as well. From its original white color, it had changed to a dark blue shade and seemed more fluid. It flowed through my body as natural as the blood itself. I checked my body to see if I'd broken through to the 3rd stage which I hadn't either.
The huge tree still stood but the heart had shrivelled up and slowly faded away into ashes, the flowing blood at the bottom of the basin sat still. No more new food or water which meant we were at a time restriction. I decided to first go back to my cabin but as I moved around, the villagers seemed to hold more respect for me. Some even knelt in front of me. The kids still played around as usual. The elders on the other hand looked at me with their eyes wide open like they were gonna pop out.
As I entered the cabin, I quickly closed the door behind me and decided to completely check what had changed. My bone structure hadn't changed any further. My muscles seemed the same though it felt as though they could produce more power. Then I finally noticed it. I had wings on my back. Most demons had lost their wings during the era of war and those that did have them were considered noble demons. They had a larger energy capacity not that it mattered to me. Somehow it felt quite unnatural but at the same time they felt as a part of my body as natural as my limbs. As I spread my wings, one other thing I realized was that my energy was leaking. Envelope energy worked in a way that it took in the energy similar to how the blood cells carried oxygen in our body from the external environment. It was essentially a very physical energy and constant circulation would mean the slow but sure growth of the body itself. But it was only effective if it were pure, now there was a foreign energy mixed in my energy flow which originated from my heart.
