Chapter 35 - Chapter 35 - My loyal dogs??

They were standing a bit too close to each other and I didn't like that at all, not one bit. Considering that I've not been there for Mertiana at all, even so I hoped I could be there now and support her and the people here. My energy had evolved and now all I needed was the support of the people themselves. From what I saw, Dionesium and Crescent had not passed on their skills to their descendants. Either that or they didn't get a chance to do so.

Either way they had me and luckily since those two bastar… Ehem those two guys who were the ancestors of these people were my enemies in my past, I had studied up their moves and tactics. I had stored up everything regarding my past life in a secret location. One that I knew would never go away unlike the constant changing of empires and kingdoms. Why, I had no idea. Hopefully it would've helped someone who did manage to find them for better or for worse. Can't believe I'm the one who will need it in the end. I needed to get to the origin peninsula as soon as I could but before that I'd need to grow my envelope energy another stage as well.

As I approached their cabin, I knew something was off when suddenly Riot spoke, "all hail the new Leader of the village of Neel-kunt. He has bested me in battle and has also managed to Aw the rest of ya. I officially step down from this post and will offer up the energy of Crescent and Mertiana will offer up her energy of Dionesium over to him. Now speak thy name traveller….".

I definitely wasn't expecting this. I looked at their eyes and I knew Riot had suggested this dumb idea. Mertiana seemed very reluctant to follow through with it and would be voicing her opinions in a seemingly crash manner but the only thing holding herself back I guessed was Riot holding her hand.

"Hmmmmmm, nah. You can keep their energies, I have no use for them. Rather I'm pretty sure only their descendants could wield their powers and I for one am not." To which Riot replied "but you have a thread of blood to Mertiana which would symbolize that you have some amount of their blood flowing through ya."

"I'll gladly lead the bunch of y'all through the fog given the time until the two of you can actually defend each other but I can't use those energies and I don't want them either. I can instead teach you to use them. You can choose to follow me for as long as need be and when you decide that's its time, you can go your own paths."

As much as I didn't wanna separate from Mertiana, there was no choice. I didn't wanna be the father who wasn't there with her, her entire life as someone new. I'll be there to help her as much as needed and keep her safe until I can't no more and Riot was just an added package. Who knows, maybe some of these demons will choose to be loyal and serve under me if I manage to gain their trust. Now this was a plan.

"first of all, how do you even have their energies in the first place? It should've been some what 500 years?"

"its been 250 years, the time here slows slower at a rate compared to the outer world. Our previous leaders died around 150 years ago and we've been repeating the same cycle of endless pain everyday. Until you arrived, it was hypothesized that nobody could enter or exit this village at all. You also seem to have this weird energy surrounding you and don't go thinking your completely alone at a corner of the village and that we wouldn't see you cutting through the fog, the children saw you doing so".

I glanced at the children and they were gleaming their huge teeth at me with a wide smile. I let out a sigh and said "that still doesn't explain how you have their energies, and why you didn't use it in our fight?"

"that's cuz I don't know how to, we were given a book by our predecessors but it didn't have the entire process on how to train our energy. It was simply energy circulation."

I asked them to bring the book which they did and when I held it a flash came across my brain "the cry of the bloodddddd shall resonateeeee acrossssssssss". My brain hurt but the envelope energy quickly cooled down my body. What the fuck was that. A blood curdling voice.

I quickly set it aside for now and took a look at the book. It didn't seem to be my handwriting but it jogged up my memory. I could remember a whole bunch on how to execute the energy rotation for these methods and at the same time the first and second verses of their forms.

"you've been learning the wrong circulation methods" to which they nodded as if they already knew about it. According to the method in the book, the werewolves would need to sit at night to absorb the energy of the moon and use it to power themselves up which was based on the typical lore of the 'werewolves' though not completely false.

The vampires circulation on the other hand required them to circulate the entirety of their blood at a pace that's 10 times faster than what they do. That seemed about right to the original method though it could be better. It seemed similar to someone I knew. It was at the back of my head. A name so important but how could I have forgotten about it. Something wasn't right.

I quickly asked them to step down and said, I'll teach the both of you the actual methods on your respective energy circulations though I won't train it myself. You can choose to pass it down to your people or be its sole inheritors though for Riot I'd suggest passing it down. First, we will have to go to the tree you mentioned. The one that gives you all your food."

Said tree was situated right behind the tavern where we first met which did make sense considering he had to make food for the whole clan. The tree was huge, like real huge and it only upon seeing it did I realize the only reason the fog wasn't closing up here was because the tree seemed to have thinned out its branches up to its maximum limit so that I couldn't even see it but it definitely seemed to be bordering the entirety of the village. As I got even closer I saw the grotesque sight, it was two hearts pumping out what seemed to be blood across the entire tree. Two bare hearts doing their best to protect their descendants and I could tell that they were at their limits.

A pool of blood at the bottom of the tree and a chalice made from what I knew were bones. A sight to behold. Riot and Mertiana went ahead a cupped a hand from the pool and drank up. Then signalled towards the chalice "the first time someone needs to drink this; they would need the chalice so they don't get addicted to blood".

I took the chalice and found the same words written as what the voice had screamed at me when I took the book on the circulation techniques. I took a small amount of the blood and instantly gulped it down. Nothing seemed to have happened, I lowered my chalice to take another cup but Riot gripped my hands, I looked at him then suddenly my guts seemed to burn up. The entirety of my blood and stomach was burning though not at a level as bodily reconstruction but painful none the less.

I quickly sat down and made Riot sit in front of me, "memorize the flow of energy" and as I said that I quickly pumped the energy I got from drinking the blood into Riot. He screamed like a fucking puppy, fucking grown ass werewolf. Mertiana shielded her eyes and I slowly had the energy of Crescent flow through as he had wanted it to.

It was a simple yet violent method of circulation which maximized the powers of the werewolf. It took a total of 3 hours for the circulation to finish and when I took my hands off his back, he was naturally circulating his energy though not whimpering like a puppy anymore. His attire tore off, though not his pants which was safe I guess and I saw it, across his back a tattoo of a large serpent spanning from his back all the way to the front of his body.
