Chapter 210 - 210

There was a brief pause after Noir's statement. Bruce Banner stepped forward, adjusting his glasses and peering curiously at the group.

"Wait, hold on," Bruce said. "You all have different suits, different styles… but are your abilities the same?"

"They're spider-based," Peter B. said with a shrug. "Wall-crawling, super strength, spider-sense, the usual. Though some of us have extra features."

"Like me," Miles chimed in, raising his hand. "I can turn invisible and zap people with bio-electricity."

"I have a robot," Peni offered, gesturing to her mechanical companion standing quietly behind her. "Well… my dad's robot. It's psychically linked to me."

"Spider-sense," Geralt muttered. "Like precognition?"

"It's more of a danger sense," Gwen clarified. "Like the universe whispering, 'Hey, maybe don't go that way or you'll get flattened by a truck.'"

"A gift from the spiders, then! What strange little creatures. I once fought a frost-spider the size of a carriage in Niflheim." Thor laughed.

"Hard pass." Peter replied instantly.

"So your whole universe…" Tony said, "…has a spider theme going on? All of you got your powers from spider bites or some variation of it?"

"More or less," Peter replied as he had more knowledge about the multiverse than any of them here.

"Huh. Maybe this world is due for its own Spider-Man." Natasha smirked.

"Yeah… why doesn't this world have one?" Gwen asked.

All eyes turned to Liam.

"You have something to say about that?" Tony asked.

"What do I have to say about it?" Liam was confused.

"Well since all the worlds have spider related people, why doesn't ours have?" Triss asked. By now everyone has integrated and they considered this world as their world as much as others so they were curious too.

"And why would you suppose I know?" Liam asked.

"Dude you just outed the identity of these people. I am sure you have asked more questions to them?" Tony said.

"They can't see the future Tony if that is what you are asking. I don't know why our world doesn't have a spider person. Maybe we had, or maybe in the future we will. I don't know. But what I can say is yes, every world of our multiverse are supposed to have a spider person. And no, it not just bodily mutation which is responsible. There are mystic powers behind this. And it's better you don't delve deep into it. Because I can assure you that this road of self search will only lead to deaths if you don't have the power, and even if you do, you will still fall short," Liam warned them after remembering the story of the immortals.

Liam's last words were creepy and since Liam, being the powerful that he was, warned them it meant that they should stop. Though Miles didn't think so. He was curious but he didn't ask.

"Well… on that cheery note, maybe we could talk about how to get home?" Peter spoke up, in order to lighten the mood and also change the subject.

"Yeah," Miles added, stepping forward. "We've been stuck here for six months. And as cool as your world is… it's not ours. We need to find a way back."

"Is that something your magic friends could help with?" Gwen asked, glancing toward Ciri, Triss, Keira and Yennefer. "Like, portals or dimension-hopping spells?"

"Kamar-Taj might be your best bet. The sorcerers there specialize in multiversal travel. If anyone can open a door back to your home, it's them." Ciri replied.

"I agree," Yennefer said. "They've helped us before. And the Ancient One knows more about dimensional flux than anyone alive."

Everyone turned toward Liam, who had gone quiet, sipping something dark

"We could take them there, right?" Steve asked.

"We could. Besides Ciri and Triss will know better, since they are with them and not me. My organization doesn't operate on charity. But I don't think Ancient One would stop you from going home since she doesn't like visitors from other worlds, so try not to pressure her." Liam replied. Everyone calmed down listening to Liam.

"I will add some good words to her ears when we meet tomorrow and help you." Tony assured as he still owed Kamar taj of building a new robust and strong temple. The blueprint was ready and would be supplied to her.

They had decided to visit Kamar Taj the next day and thus the official small party finally commenced. Drinks came out and so did the music. Tony went on to dance with Pepper, while Liam asked Ciri to accompany him. Seeing how the two acted all lovey dovey, Geralt too asked Yen.

"I thought you'd never ask." Yen said. Triss looking at this could only look away. Keira smirked looking at Triss but didn't say a word, because she herself got a date.

Lambert had also arrived and so did Fury. Though Fury was a bit late. Liam didn't mind speaking about the Spiderlings and he nodded in understanding. Fury had other matters in his mind and Liam could tell that Fury wanted to say something, but it wasn't the right time.

By midnight, the Spiderlings left.

"Well, that was a circus." Tony sighed as he sat on the sofa with Pepper sitting on his lap.

"They're just kids. And yet, the weight they carry… it's not normal." Steve said as he had spoken with them, unlike Miles, the rest had their fair share of burden and trauma. Especially Peter. He looked like he was at the end of the road.

But thankfully this journey had helped him recover some of the old flame and seemed to be changing for the better.

"Nothing about them is," Geralt said flatly. "And I've seen a lot of unnatural."

"Their power. Their aura. It wasn't just mutation or science. There's magic there. Something deep-rooted and old." Yen had done her work and thus said.

Everyone turned to Liam, who stood silently by the window, gazing out at the skyline.

"You've been quiet," Tony said. "Too quiet. You said something about mystic forces behind them—and that didn't sound like your usual 'don't worry about it' dodge."
