I can't fucking believe it, I've actually committed so long to something. My attention span is that of a dog when a treat is grabbed. Hyper focused for a moment on the treat before it's gone into the stomach.
So yeah, it's a fucking miracle, I'm aiming for [500] chapters in the future, if I live that long lol! Anyways, thank you all who's made it this far to chapter [100] with me. Those of you who are always reading almost immediately, appreciate you.
Enjoy the extra long chapter now~
•~~~~~•~~~~~•~~~~~•
Raven hummed softly as he sat on the back of some giant flying creature. It was like a giant bird, an eagle, was mixed with the genes of a few other animals. Kinda majestic, but also ugly looking. Like someone put all their best gear on in a game, your strong as hell, but damn do you look like shit 90% of the time.
However his mind was focused on what Mab had revealed, he wasn't stupid. She had purposely revealed the existence of her father. The origin of fae. The bestfriend of Yahweh, The God of The Bible.
However that posed the conundrum, the being existed as a paradox, so even if his existence can't be viewed by glancing at the timeline itself, one should still be able to find proof of his existence.
Some minor mention of such a being, the original fae wielded a true magic, however as he thought on it, he realized that perhaps that was the reason he went without recognition.
Only one being may wield true magic of that specific magic for eternity in each universe. Of the five existing true magics, four of the five were known and their users well documented.
Raven Inanis - Denial of Nothingness
Kischur Zelretch Schweignorg - Kaleidoscope
Einzbern Family - Heavens Feel
Unknown - Unknown
Aoko Aozaki - Magic Blue
Raven remembered the little song, or poem if you prefer to call it.
"At the beginning, First changed all… Next, the Second recognized many… In answer, the Third showed the future… Tethered, the Fourth concealed itself… And the final Fifth had long since lost its significance… Someone once said "Had it only ended at the Third."" Raven repeated out, if you took it at the literal sense and face value, things made some sense.
The original fae, who's name he wish he had gotten, most likely possessed the fourth, and through its ability had enabled any traces of his existence and presence to be hidden from the annals of history and time. Quite ingenious if he was honest.
However something tugged at him in some form, a reminder of a lesson with Zelretch.
•~~~~~•
"What about the fourth?" Raven asked confused as he noted a hole in the older man's lesson.
"Ah that, the fourth's existence is gone, that beings very life snuffed out and destoryed by their very magic. A tragic story that one. To be crushed and removed by one's own true magic." Zelretch said with a hint of melancholy.
"I see, what was the power of the fourth magic though?" Raven inquired curiously.
"That is complicated and details lacking, but it's very mature lies in removal and hiding." Zelretch responded simply. "Don't worry about it, even the annals of history have forgotten about them, only because of having true magic do I remember them." He added on after a moment.
•~~~~~•
Raven hummed softly, because the facts didn't line up, of course he could be misinterpreting the second magicians words, the man could be implying he remembered such a being due the fact they posssed true magic, however he could also be implying that because Zelretch possessed true magic, he was capable of remembering a being wiped out from existence by true magic.
However the biggest plothole in that story for Raven was that Mab knew of her father, and by the words she used, her siblings fondly remembered the man to, so that would mean the original fae didn't possess the fourth, so would that mean they could possess a famed SIXTH true magic?
Yet, he couldn't think of what it would embody in creation. Each true magic defined a part of existence. The first in creation and destruction. The second in space. The third in life and death. The fourth unknown, but something with removing and hiding. The fifth in time.
So what aspect of existence would it govern?
Raven shook his head and focused on Mab's words, the original fae existed at the same time as Yahweh, so his existence would be similar to that of the original beings, the primordial existences that were there in the beginning of all.
"Vexing." Raven sighed as he slumped down on his ride. "It's so exciting to learn about such a being, but so damn annoying not being able to research them. Perhaps I can find some Primordials when I return home to converse with them about said being." Raven decided as he nodded to himself.
Raven stood up and stretched as he glanced around before smiling at the sight of a city in the distance, with a gentle pat on the creatures back he'd been riding, he took off gently to not harm his former ride.
•~~~~~•
Raven softly hummed in happiness as he slowly walked through the city he had found.
[Izaven, City of Desire]
The city was named after its original lord, so said the locals. Izaven, a fae who was considered fair and kind, at least by fae standards, ruled with a iron fist. His subjects never questioned his judgement. Under his rule the city boomed strongly, its most popular parts?
The strip clubs.
Except that these clubs were different then the ones you'd find in the human world. Unlike the normal clubs, fae were much more in touch with their desires, so touching lightly was fine, however if it went beyond that, then they'd soon find themselves tossed out.
Unless of course they were chosen to go to the backeooms and have some special fun times.
Raven himself currently sat at the bar of one now, sipping down a curious drink. Fruity, but with a taste of something strong and special in it.
After a moment he recalled where he tasted it. During a time where he pissed off a couple lords of the clocktower they tried to poison him, his food and drinks, he had fully eaten the poisoned meal and drink out of sheer amusement.
The next day he called a meeting and hung the two by their entrails.
"Hi there honey, you looking for a good times in the back with me?~" a exotic woman asked and he glanced at her and smiled, but he still declined her. He could still smell another man inside of her.
"Perhaps another time." Raven declined as he tried another drink. He did appreciate the dances happening on stage though.
"You must have a lady waiting at home that's got you trapped down." The bartender joked and Raven smirked.
"A couple ladies, but it's more open, on my side, that I go around quite a bit. However I'm not quite interested in going to town on a woman who had bits of another man still in her." Raven said with a slight shiver.
"Understandable." The man said as he used his sharpened nails to pop open a bottle he slid down to Raven.
"Cheers." The teen raised his bottle and drank it down.
"So tell me where you from stranger? You're obviously new to Izaven, I've never seen you around. Also names Vern." Vern asked as he started cleaning a glass.
"Raven. As for where I'm from, not quite sure I remember the name at the moment, bit of amnesia you see, woke up on the surface of earth in some alleyway. Still piecing my fragments of memory together. I remember a mother and some city." Raven said lacing the truth with a slight lie, which was the alleyway part. He's never woken up in alleyway before.
"I see, wandering till ya find home huh? I understand that. If you're looking for knowledge I'd recommend heading down to Kennis City, it's run by Lord Athen. He's a very knowledgeable man who has many libraries opened in the city, free of use for any." Vern recommended and Raven hummed.
"I do love knowledge. Alright I'll head on that way, after another drink though, give me your strongest one." Raven requested as the man laughed and slid a small bottle down the counter.
"My strongest drink, venom of a pit scorpion and a elder hydra combined, then a bit of liquid fire thrown in. Plus the strongest alcohol in the realm." Vern said and Raven raised an eyebrow as he scanned the drink, it was true.
"This actually has a chance of killing me." Raven laughed joyfully as he noted it was true and the two venoms were extremely potent. Hell just the alcohol would be enough to kill a human with a sip.
So what did he do?
Down the whole thing at once, he noted Vern reached out to stop him, but was too slow. He coughed a bit as he felt a couple of his organs fail, but laughed as his healing abilities began kicking in restoring the organs.
"You idiot! You're meant to take a sip at most, not down the whole thing. How are you not dead!?" Vern asked shocked and Raven laughed.
"It certainly would have killed others, a couple of my organs shut down immediately before they healed up." Raven chuckled as he stood up, a glowing crystal left on the counter. "A tip for the excellent drink." He grinned and headed out the club.
A new destination in mind, after he visited a few more clubs and tried their alcohol, nothing ended up beating Vern's concoction, which he didn't get the name of sadly. He'd just call it Liquid Venomous Fire, because that's what it was in a literal sense.
•~~~~~•
Raven had searched up directions to his next destination and enjoyed a calm flight to Kennis City, which he found amusing they named it Knowledge City, Kennis meaning Knowledge in Dutch.
He also spent the time thinking, his birth had been in this realm, of that he was certain. This was the realm he should have lived in with his mother, and yet he felt a certain coldness being in the realm, it was also weird since he felt such warmth from the very realm itself. His core sang in tune with it.
He was a bit detached, and he felt till he found the city he had been born in, the castle he was meant to grow up in, the coldness would never leave him.
So with that realization in mind he accelerated his speed a bit to reach the city by the next four hours. He truly was amazed at how large the realm was in comparison to the earth. He could circle the planet and still have only made it a portion of the way there.
Perhaps this is why people rarely see fae, they are way to busy traveling their own realm to be in another one. He snorted at the thought when they could all teleport.
"Yet, I don't see many use portals that much, is it perhaps mines stronger or a mutation of the normal ability?" Raven pondered to himself curiously.
•~~~~~•
Fifteen hours later and a pit stop to mess with some forest fae and local animals, he had finally arrived at his destination.
Kennis City, the supposed hub of knowledge in the realm of fae.
"I was expecting something grand, but this is amazing." Raven gazed at the sight of the city below him. The giant trees, the bustling markets. The architecture. It was all amazing, admittedly it wasn't something unable to be found in other realms, but rather it was the presence the city gave off.
The welcoming presence, the people wandering about in the city.
"Halt!" Raven paused as a group of armored fae appeared wearing some kind of silver/gold alloy mix of armor, weapons made of the same alloy.
Raven blinked at this, but he figured such a big city would have some form of guards.
"Unregistered flight is illegal inside of Kennis City zones." The leader of the little platoon said seriously and Raven rolled his eyes.
"I have a pass." Raven said as he reached into his pocket and went to pretend to grab something, however he felt something inside his pocket. "I have a pass?" He repeated in a more confused tone as he stared at the paper in his hand signed by Mab.
He mentally noted the unique signature of the paper and softly hummed before handing it over. The guard that took it was frowning as he examined it before going slightly pale.
"I'm sorry for the issue my Duke!" The captain said as he bowed at a 90 degree angle. "We will escort you to Lord Athen right away."
Raven paused as he felt something ingrain onto his body and subtly looked at the top of his palm to see a symbol form. It was a crescent moon upside down with a small sun underneath the moon, two small points angled at a 15 degree angle and one pointing directly down and one directly up. Six red feathers, three on each side were pointing up as well.
"The symbol of the duke!" One whispered in a hushed voice of excitement and Raven wondered what that mean.
"If you would follow us my duke?" The captain asked gaining his bearings and Raven only nodded, if he got uncomfortable he'd just cause some chaos, disappear into the crowds, change form and conduct his business casually.
•~~~~~•
Raven idly noted the curious items on the wall as they walked to the top of one of the giant trees. They weren't anything quite special, but rather they were unique in their creation.
Unfamiliar in the regard they were of a language he didn't know, it didn't bring up any effects when he tried to quietly speak the language as words, so that would mean the language was created for the single purpose of having a personal runic language.
That's not to say he couldn't pierce together a bit of the language on the form of the items and patterns of runic patterns.
"Lord Athens is ready Duke Raven." The captain said as he returned from a door and Raven casually entered the room, because if Mab wanted to play a game, he'd win.
"Good worn solider." Raven said as he patted the man's shoulder as he walked by.
•~~~~~•
"My Duke, Raven Inanis, welcome to my personal library. I hope you find it accommodating." The only person in the room said with a small bow.
"Lord Athens." Raven responded as he slowly moved around the library, his fingers gently gliding over the titles of the books stored away. "Impressive collection." Raven said slightly impressed as he noted some more notable titles.
[Origin of Divinity] [House of The Undead] [Paltry Magic] [Powers of The Unknown]
Raven frowned slightly as he noted a pattern, but he didn't say anything.
"Thank you, My Duke." The man said with a pleased tone as he followed behind.
"I heard from a friend about this city, he recommended to visit it, that almost all kinds of knowledge could be found in this city." Raven said idly as he turned and stared blankly at the man who was still smiling.
"That is correct, as a man dedicated to the collection of knowledge, I have set out to acquire all knowledge." Athens stated seriously and Raven narrowed his eyes slightly as he pulled out a book.
"Deal of The Beyond, by Nyla Throp." Raven read aloud as he held the book up. "How did you acquire such a book?" Raven's tone was unknown to Lord Athens.
"I stumbled across it during my time in Egypt." He said calmly in return and Raven smiled as he placed the book back.
"Stumbled huh?" Raven mused aloud with a tone of interest and amusement. "You must be pretty luck or, depending on the person, unlucky, to stumble across such cursed knowledge." He added on after a moment.
"As a connoisseur of knowledge, I consider finding any knowledge to be luck." Athens replied immediately without hesitation.
"I see, well I won't hold you up any longer, I must set out, I smelt and saw some tasty food beforehand. Until next time Lord Athens~" Raven cheerfully said as he walked to the door of the library, however as he reached for the handle he turned his head and looked at the Lord of the city.
Ravens smile was still present, but his eyes were chilling, a dark amusement present.
"A word of advice Lord Athens, power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Knowledge is the same in that regard, knowledge drives a being crazy, however absolute knowledge absolutely drives a being into insanity."
"I thank you for the kind words Duke Raven." Athens said in a slightly cold tone and Raven's dark chuckle echoed the library as he left.
"Captain!" Athens snapped out.
"Yes sir?"
"Reach out to our old friend, I have a job for him." Lord Athens stated with a cold tone as he stared at a book on his shelf, the same specific book Raven had been holding.
The captain bowed and left.
Athens stared at the book in his hand as he took it out, and for just a moment his form flickered to reveal a being of tentacles, multiple mouths and many blinking eyes. Then he was back to normal.
"I won't let some mere child get in the way of reviving my lord." Athens stared coldly out the window as he clinched his fist.
•~~~~~•
"How amusing." Raven laughed as he listened in on Athens with the listening rune he carved into the book.
"How interesting though, to take on the characteristics of such beings while maintaining the physical identity of a fae, oh yes, this will be an interesting time." Raven chuckled as he tossed a dagger casually that pierced through a small creature that had been following him.
"Still though, do I let it be my problem to deal with?" Raven mused before sighing, he knew damn well that it would somehow fall in his lap even if he did nothing. "At least this way I'll be aware." He nodded to himself before sighing.
"Hey you, interested in any of our wears?" A fae asked and Raven turned his head to see a table with some knickknacks and shrugged before going to take a look.
•~~~~~•
"So who's the target now?" A man asked as he appeared in the library of Athens who was still staring out the window.
"Velzen, Slayer of The Divine, Greatest Killer of The Millennia." Athens greeted as a dark chuckle echoed throughout the room.
"Athens, Lord of Kennis City, Apostle of Ghatanothoa. Deceiver of The Divine." Velzen greeted in return.
"Raven Inanis, Duke of The Fae, origins unknown. Presumably a union of human and fae. Has some connection with Mab." Athens stated as he tossed a photo towards Velzen.
"His magic energy signature is tied into the photo, used it to track him. I want him dead and unable to be found." Athens stated angrily.
"Consider it done boss." The man said as he cheerfully waved a hand.
"Good, once complete I'll have the usual payment given to you." Athens said as Velzen just chuckled and vanished.
"Still couldn't sense him." Athens muttered annoyed before sighing and slumping into a chair.
•~~~~~•
"An assassin eh? I hope he makes it fun, especially with those titles." Raven chuckled amused as he stared at the sight before him, a large orgy.
"I really wanna get involved, maybe next time." He nodded and leapt off a building to reach a more open area that was a market with people trading anything for goods.
Raven idly handed over a few pieces of gold for some apples. "Not to bad." He mused before he took a step the right and then continued walking.
•~~~~~•
"So he did notice it, despite being a kid, his instincts are strong. Good, I like a challenge." Velzen said as he stood up and moved to follow.
•~~~~~•
"Hmm, let's see, I know that I was born in a city, and it was in a castle and she was refered to as Lady, in a formal way, so that implies she was the ruler of the city. Now I just have to go through a metric ton of books on the cities across the realm. Joy." Raven sighed as he walked through the library and grabbed a few books to try and figure out his dilemma.
Raven paused for a moment before turning and glaring out a nearby window. He softly channeled a bit of magic to cast a sound spell.
•~~~~~•
"No." The voice of Raven declared as Velzen froze mid casting of a spell. He canceled it. The kid had somehow canceled the spell.
"What a troublesome kid, I guess I'll have to pull out all the stops." He mused before just staring through the window, and for a moment they locked eyes.
Assassin and Target.
Then the next both were gone.
"What scary eyes and power." Velzen smirked, happy to have a target that made him work for it.
•~~~~~•
Similar things kept on happening as Raven explored the city. Velzen would try and assassinate him, Raven would somehow stop the assassination on himself with feigned casual ease.
Currently he was pretending to be focusing on a book, but his brain was focused on breaking down and disabling another spell being aimed at him by his assassin.
"This is getting annoying now." He grumbled as he stood up and shoved his books away before he vanished.
The next moment he appeared next to Velzen, Malevolent blocking a swing of a giant warhammer.
"At first I was extremely amused, now it's just annoying. Seriously, I'd think you'd have given up spells after I broke your spells fifty times in a row." Raven said dryly as Velzen chuckled.
"Never hurts to try." The man grinned as he pushed harder with his hammer. Raven only hummed before he pushed back harder and sent the man flying towards the edge of the roof they were on.
"I agree, however as a person who enjoys knowledge, let's take this somewhere more open and private, I'd hate to harm a book." Raven said as the man laughed, but agreed.
The two moved their way over the buildings and out the city, eventually they arrived in a large clearing.
"So how do you wanna do this? You come at me? I come at you?" Raven asked with a grin as he held Malevolent out as it started pulsating with energy.
"I wanna smash your head!" Velzen yelled as in just a single moment he was swinging down his hammer in front of Raven, who in that same moment had swung his sword at the hammer. The resulting explosion sent Velzen flying back through the air and Raven skidding back on the ground.
Raven used the momentum of the explosions force to flip backwards and swing his sword firing off a blast of magic energy.
Velzen swung his hammer at the energy and shattered it.
"Interesting hammer you got there, quite large. Compensating for something small?" Raven had a smug smirk on his face, because in the next moment a duplicate appeared in his free hand.
Velzen narrowed his eyes.
"I mean seriously, stealing the hammer of Hephaestus himself, you are most certainly bold Mr. Assassin~" Raven said with a smile that held a hint of danger in it.
"If he didn't want it stolen, he shouldn't have let it in the open." Velzen said cheekily and Raven smirked.
"Fair, but counter point…" Raven suddenly vanished as he slammed his own hammer down where Velzen had been standing. In the next moment he let the hammer go as a scythe formed in his hands as he used it to swing around by using the hammer as a anchor point.
In the next half a moment Velzen had swung down his hammer creating a giant crater. Raven felt slightly irritated at that for some reason. With a wave of his hand thousands of magic circles formed and rained down deadly beams of energy.
"!!!" Velzen cursed as he slammed the hammer into the ground creating a dome of metal around him, Raven responded to that by increasing the intensity of the beams as they started spinning like drills, slowly making their way into the metal.
Just as they were about to tunnel through the metal dome, it exploded. Standing there was Velzen, but the hammer was gone. However he noted some changes the man had gone through.
The man's outfit had been ripped apart, he now just wore boots, pants and a black shirt, his face was revealed black-purple hair and a single golden eye shining brightly. The other eye was covered by a eyepatch. Most notably though was the fact parts of his skin seemed to shine like metal. The same color as the hammer.
"Ah, I understand now. Child of Hephaestus. It explains how you managed to acquire your fathers hammer and even achieve this form." Raven noted as Velzen raised his hand and suddenly a beam of fire came flying forward.
"Not fire, magma." Raven said with a curious tone as he raised a magic barrier to momentarily halt the magma and flew into the air.
"Child of Hephaestus, Legacy of… no, rather you inherited the pieces of Hephaestus and Vulcan!" Raven said pleased before he aimed his still present magic circles and fired off another barrage.
He stared curiously as Velzen suddenly raised his hand and a large seven layered barrier formed. It wasn't anything quite so special, but rather the important of the number seven was used. A magic barrier circle containing seven formulas and cast seven times in an interlinked formula to sustain each other.
"Impressive barrier, however against those of greater power, it's ultimately useless." Raven declared as he chucked a single spear of dawn energy right through the middle of the seven barriers and instantly broke through them.
The barrier could only hold so long as an attack capable of breaking all seven at once didn't strike it.
"Oh Heavenly Sky Father, in thy blessed name, strike down at thine enemies." Velzen started chanted and Raven noted something powerful must be coming down at him if a chant was used.
Raven frowned as he felt a strong divinity appear in the sky as storm clouds appeared. A man made of lightning started forming.
"By thy own debt, I seek thine Thunderbolt to slay my enemy! By our pact!"
Raven realized what was happening and started casting a multitude of barriers around himself as well as casting some unknown spell.
"BY YOUR THUNDERBOLT!" Velzen yelled and the figure fully formed Zeus who chucked down a large thunderbolt.
"ZEUS!" Velzen finished at the same time as the bolt slammed into the barriers.
"!!!" Raven went wide eye as the bolt slammed through all his barriers and hit him. The resulting explosion was visible throughout the lands and extremly visible to Kennis City who started panicking.
"Hows that you bastard?" Velzen asked himself rhetorically with a smug grin.
"Annoying." A voice responded weakly and Velzen widened his eye as he cast a wind spell clearing the dust, and standing there charred, heavily injured and broken was Raven, still alive.
"You stupid bastard, I almost fucking died. This is something new for me." Raven cackled as he fell to a knee, but his body was slowly healing.
"How are you alive?" Velzen asked shocked, but he was already moving with a sword appearing from a magic circle as he went to chop off Raven's head.
Cling
A barrier formed, the same one used by Velzen earlier.
"I had to sacrifice part of my soul for that you bastard. Calling down a bolt from Zeus himself. Some pact you two must have." Raven groaned as he pushed himself up to wobble on his knees.
"A part of your soul huh? What a scary bastard you are." Velzen said with respect and a bit of fear. "I'll try and make it painless from here on out then." Velzen added on before he moved, grabbing the hammer that Raven had left laying about and swinging it breaking the barrier around Raven.
"Ugh, ref can I get a five minute break?" Raven sarcastically asked as he swung his hand blocking the incoming attack at the cost of his bones shattering. Then he took flight using his still damaged wings.
"For a teen, you truly are scary." Velzen praised and Raven laughed as he spat a bit of blood out.
"Thanks, I'm glad to hear that, truly." Raven said pleased before the sky lit up in a heavenly light. "So in respect of that, I'll chant as well."
"Oh Heavenly Father, you who reside upon the heavenly plains of Heaven."
Velzen had two choices here, he could run away and hope to escape, or try and block it.
"He who created the world."
Velzen raised a movable barrier and started running, however the moment he got two miles away he slammed into a barrier that flung him back towards Raven who was smirking.
"He who made man in his own image."
Velzen cursed as a bolt of light energy smacked him into the ground, pinning him in place.
"By your heavenly will."
"Strike down with your omnipotent might."
Velzen's body started getting covered more by metal till he was fully encased in it, more metal started growing from him and forming a shield around himself. Multiple barriers appeared as well.
"By your all knowing will."
Velzen used all his remaining energy, regular and divine, to cast a final barrier around himself.
"Heavens Strike!"
The fae realms lit up in a brilliant white light.
•~~~~~•
Raven floated in the sky panting slightly as he was healing up, looking down he chuckled before plumitng to the ground tired.
"I'll admit, sacrificing a portion of your body to fuel a transportation spell, good stuff." Raven chuckled as he coughed a bit of blood out.
However in the next moment he raised a hand blocking a spear aiming to pierce through his head. The user in question was Athen.
"So the bitch boy finally arrives." Raven chuckled amused as he stood up through a bit of magical energy assistance.
"Duke Raven, I'm only protecting my people from your cruelty." Athens said and Raven stared annoyed at the man before raising his hand and suddenly piercing the chest of Athens with a spear of dawn energy.
"Little tip, knowledge doesn't equal power." He grunted as he kicked Athen back and laid his foot over the fae Lords throat. "Second tip, just because you have a contract with a foreign being, doesn't mean you are mighty."
"You disgraceful mongrel brat-" Raven didn't give the man time to further speak as he crushed his throat and used gravity to add enough force to his leg to rip the head off.
"Oh, you're still alive." Raven noted impressed as he saw the head grow tentacles from under it and start crawling away. "Unfortunately for you, I'm too tried to play anymore games."
"Heavens Strike." Raven casted a less powerful version of his spell and the fae realms were once again bathed in holy light.
"Now that I'm down with that-" Once again, he was cut off from enjoying his free time as the remaining bits and pieces of the body flew together, starting to mutate.
"Magician, Blessed One of The Void, you who oppose Ghatanothoa. For destroying the plans of this Great Old One, I will exterminate you." The mangled but of flesh and tentacles spoke, their voice was warped and painful to hear, but he only groaned in annoyance.
"Come on man, I just want to find my mom." He grumbled before in an instant he had Malevolent in hand, the sword glowing bright with holy energy as he swung it down and impaling the being upon his sword, however the moment he stared into its eyes he could feel it trying to harm his mind.
"Scary, you seem to be trying to wipe my mind and rot my body, like a mummy." Raven noted curiously as he pushed away the effects of the curse like thing with some dawn energy.
"Oddity." Ghatanothoa spoke unsure before suddenly a rain of holy spears impaled it.
"The Daemon-God. You who sought to claim this realm in madness, to bathe the world in your curse. Spawn of Cthulhu and Ida-yaa, by my power I order you to return to your self, abandon this body." Raven ordered as a giant spear of holy energy started forming in the sky.
Holy Energy works best against such creatures.
"Cursed child of the unknown, I curse-" Raven didn't let them finish as the spear impaled Ghatanothoa's body and exploded with light.
All that remained was a single eyeball, Raven spammed five more giant holy light spears ensuring nothing remained.
"If they didn't bother speaking the curse totally aloud, they'd have much more success." Raven laughed before a single flap of his wings had him flying back towards Kennis, he had a certain book to destroy.
"Drats, it's gone." Raven cursed as he couldn't find the book once he reached the library of Athen.
•~~~~~•
In an unknown realm, a being of shadows walked calmly and held to his chest was the very book Raven was looking for.
"Not yet, but soon you will enter this realm My Lord." The shadowed being promised as the book pulsed before it died down.
•~~~~~•
Raven was also annoyed since he couldn't feel the runes he put on the book, so whoever had it was an expert and had purged the book of them.
"Well played Ghatanothoa, well played." Raven said with a touch of annoyance. With a sigh he stored all the books in the library into his storage dimension and then let a blast of energy destory the room.
•~~~~~•
After three days of rest, Raven was enjoying his time inside a library without worry of assassin's or eldritch abominations.
However even after reviewing over seven thousand books he has still yet to find his desired location. He was honestly impressed with the amount of Cities and Towns that existed.
"I'm honestly unsure how I still haven't found it yet. I guess I'll focus on learning history and contracts as a fae." Raven sighed before he got up to grab more books.
"History dump here I come."
•~~~~~•
Across the realm, a certain three fae paused their play fight as they felt a intruder enter their dimension. However they felt another being start fighting them.
"Even without that, his might is truly grand." Oberon said impressed.
"Indeed, to think even without that backing him he's able to cast such divine might."
"Would you two stop glazing him!?"
"Don't disrespect him!" The two first ones argued before they resumed brawling as they felt the intruder disappear.
•~~~~~•
DING DING DING
Raven paused as he heard the magical timer he set for a certain time go off, however he paused to remember just exactly what it was for.
"Oh shit! I'm supposed to be going back to Hogwarts this year!" Raven panicked as he started packing all his stuff up in his temporary home on a lone giant frozen mountain in the fae realm.
With a panicked urgency he stored the last of the stuff in his pocket dimension and opened a portal that connected to the planet surface, specifically above Hogwarts, and flew through it.
Once he crossed the barrier he frowned as he saw he was still in his true form, having been in it for three solid months it was weird to transition back to hiding it. Perhaps in the future he would stop once he finished his time at Hogwarts.
•~~~~~•
Albus smiled as he looked at all the students before him, the sorting had just finished, and he was always pleased to have more students amongst them.
Speaking of students, the headmaster chuckled softly as he saw the annoyed look on Rose's face as she was glaring at the seat where Raven would usually sit.
The teen had just up and disappeared after dropping off a couple letters to everyone. Of course no one besides Zelretch could quite locate the fae realms, and the man had firmly established he wouldn't open a portal to that realm, for not even he could guarantee their safety to travel to that realm without the blessing of a fae. He could get them there safely, but their safety after arriving, he couldn't guarantee.
That realm alone held more mystery then most beings could even fathom.
So said the super ancient vampire.
Raven was unique in the regard he could travel to any place he wished to without worry.
"Before I dismiss you, it seems like our final teacher has arrived, just a little late." Albus said as he felt the wards register a familiar presence pushing down on the castle. Everyone could feel the pressure for a moment, then it vanished.
Raven took that moment to teleport in.
"Raven Inanis, Teacher of Magus Studies. Those of you who wish to attend the class must sign up with your professor, this will be a class only held for two years, so attend while you can." Albus said pleased as Raven turned to the man with betrayal in his eyes.
"Now let us quiet down so our dear Professor can speak." Albus said smugly and Raven grumbled as he stood up.
"I'll only say this once, so listen closely. To be a magus is to walk with death. A single mistake can and will take your life. So I ask you, are you willing to die for your craft?" Raven smiled coldly before he sat down.
"Thank you for that rousing speech Professor Inanis." Albus said with a touch of sarcasm. "Now, off with you all. Those of you in your first year please follow your Prefects to find your dorms." Albus added on as he himself stood up.
Raven took that moment to become a crow and take flight, however a net caught him, pulling him back down towards the teachers. Holding the net was Minerva with a scary grin.
Albus has never seen a crow panic so much, or the fact they're eyes can reflect their future death.
Albus prayed for his grandson. He doubled that prayer as he saw Rose slowly approaching too.

Raven sighed as he slumped down, almost everyone important in his life had decided to appear and scold him, well besides Hades, Persephone and Izanami.
Raven however now pondered on something, for the first time in three months he felt tired. Over the three months he had spent in the fae wilds, he hadn't felt true exhaustion. Mental exhaustion somewhat yes, but physically he hadn't felt it, at all.
Now though, it was kicking him. Lorelei had forced him to fight her for a solid twenty four hours straight where she didn't hold back anything. He still felt sore.
So with a groan he closed his eyes and embraced Morpheus. However in the next moment he felt like he was traveling, and then he was in a familiar cave.
"Veldora!" Raven called out and the cave seemed to shake a bit.
"Who dares call out the the mighty storm- oh it's you Raven! You returned!" Veldora said happily and Raven smiled as he let a bunch of food form inside of Veldora's seal.
Now he could actually feel a faint amount of power inside of his soul able to be called upon, and so with that brief bit of energy he formed a false physical body of magic and layered an illusion over it to resemble his real body.
"How long has it been my friend?" Raven asked Veldora who was happily eating the food provided.
"Only about thirty seven years." He said and Raven frowned.
"Wow, the time difference must be large, it's barely been about a year since we last met for me." Raven noted and Veldora chuckled.
"Thirty seven years is merely a blink of an eye for one's such as us." Veldora said calmly and Raven agreed, even if he wasn't quite at that age where the passage of time beyond years was something casual to him.
"True I suppose." Raven agreed as he sat down.
"How about I tell you about my travels then, there has been some interesting times." Raven smiled. "Let me tell you of my-"
"Grand Journey!"

6,800 words for a chapter, I'm impressed with myself for only rewriting it once. I honestly had a lot of fun with this one, though I'm sure many of you noticed it started being rushed at the end. Mostly after the fight with Velzen.
Now then, I suppose I should mention I found great amusement in this chapter. Especially the end where Raven gets offscreen talking to for pulling his little three month disappearing act. My boy is just like me, there one moment, silent for a long ass time, then just suddenly back like nothing happened.
Though I won't lie, my favorite part had been the title card at the end, I really can't wait to progress farther in the story, because I want to get to the arc where Veldora gets involved more, he's one of my favorite characters in anime/manga and etc.
Veldora is a loyal man who would do anything for Rimuru, even willing to sacrifice himself. A true brother, not caring for his name being used in anyway so long as it can help his brother. That's true loyalty right there. Yes he's a chaotic being, but that's his nature, and it's not like he had a brother who paid him much attention, just two sisters who regularly killed and tortured him because he didn't know better.
Did he deserve punishment? Yes. To such a degree? No! Give my boi some freedom and better siblings.
Anyways I'll stop the rant now.
I shoukd also mention like always with the end of a year, don't expect any chapters for a while since I gotta plan the year, especially since this year will feature The Triwizard Tournament and I'm not quite sure how I want to go about that just yet. Plus I'm going to focus on another story or two for a little while to avoid burnout.
Plus it'll finally give me time to catch patreon up.
So until the next posting of this story, be seeing you at [101] my dear readers!
Goodbye and until next time!
